Armaan (2013 Film)
''Armaan'' ( ur, ارمان) is a 2013 Pakistani romantic drama film directed by Anjum Shahzad. The film is a remake of the same name released in 1966, which starred Waheed Murad and Zeba. The film is produced by Tarang Housefull, Abdullah Kadwani and 7th Sky Entertainment. Film stars Fawad Khan, Aamina Sheikh, Vasay Chaudhry and Mahnoor Khan. Fawad Khan and Aamina Sheikh won Tarang Housefull Awards for Best On Screen Couple. It is available on Amazon Prime Video. Plot The film tells the story of a beautiful but underprivileged girl, Zarnaab, living in Murree with her widowed stepmother and half-sister, Zartaab. A young and flirtatious man, Armaan meets Zarnaab at a friend's Mayoon and is mesmerized by her. Zarnaab pranks him by switching places with a hijra. The encounter of Armaan flirting with the hijra is recorded on the video of the ceremony. Anjum Shahzad
Anjum Shahzad is a Pakistani TV and film director, producer, writer, actor and a philanthropist. Shahzad rose to fame and is best known for his role as Bobby in the critically acclaimed and madly-followed comedy series '' Family Front'' in the 90s. The situational comedy earned him PTV Award for Best Debut Actor for his role as Bobby. Though he earned his M.A. in economics from Punjab University, his passion for the performing arts led him to a drama school in Lahore where he completed a long course in theatre arts. "Ko Ko Korina" (Urdu:) is a song which appeared in the 1966 Urdu-language film '' Armaan'' and is considered the first pop song of Pakistan, and often of all South Asia. Produced during the Golden Age of Pakistani cinema, the song's lyrics were written by Masroor Anwar and the music composed by Sohail Rana. Aamir Zaki (April 8, 1968 – June 2, 2017) was a Saudi born Pakistani guitarist-songwriter and composer. Zaki is considered by many as one of the most influential guitarists in Pakistan's history.
