On January 16, 2002, a school shooting occurred at the Appalachian School of Law, an American Bar Association accredited private law school in Grundy, Virginia, United States. Three people were killed and three others were wounded when a former student, 43-year-old Nigerian immigrant Peter Odighizuwa, opened fire in the school with a handgun. Grifton, North Carolina
Grifton is a town in Pitt and Lenoir counties, North Carolina, United States. The population was 2,617 at the 2010 census. The Pitt County portion of the town is a part of the Greenville Metropolitan Area located in North Carolina's Inner Banks region. Osawaru Odighizuwa ( ; born August 13, 1998) is an American football defensive tackle for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Cowboys in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft. He played college football at UCLA, where he was a first-team all-conference selection in the Pac-12. Owamagbe Odighizuwa (born April 1, 1992) is a former American football player who was a defensive end in the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the New York Giants in the third round of the 2015 NFL Draft. He played college football at UCLA. Early years Odighizuwa was born in Columbus, Ohio. At the age of 3, he moved to his parents' native country of Nigeria to live with family in the heart of Benin City. He returned to the United States five years later, moving to Portland, Oregon in 2001.
