Anders Andersson (ice Hockey)
Åke Anders "Akka" Andersson (2 January 1937 – 15 December 1989) was a Swedish ice hockey centre in the 1950s and 1960s. He played 132 international games for Sweden, including seven IIHF World Championships and two Winter Olympics, in 1960 and 1964. Andersson played on the famous "Mosquito Line" with Eilert Määttä and Kalle Hedlund. In Sweden, Andersson played for Skellefteå AIK from 1956 to 1966 and Färjestads BK from 1966 to 1969. He is one of only three players to win the Golden Puck as Swedish Player of the Year twice, which he did in 1961 and 1962, and was appointed into the Swedish Hockey Hall of Fame The Swedish Hockey Hall of Fame was created 2011 to honor those individuals who have contributed to Swedish ice hockey. Forward (ice Hockey)
In ice hockey, a forward is a player, and a position on the ice, whose primary responsibility is to score and assist goals. Generally, the forwards try to stay in three different lanes of the ice going from goal to goal. It is not mandatory, however, to stay in a lane. Staying in a lane aids in forming the common offensive strategy known as a triangle. One forward obtains the puck and then the forwards pass it between themselves making the goalie move side to side. This strategy opens up the net for scoring opportunities. This strategy allows for a constant flow of the play, attempting to maintain the control of play by one team in the offensive zone. The forwards can pass to the defence players playing at the blue line, thus freeing up the play and allowing either a shot from the point (blue line position where the defence stands) or a pass back to the offence. Swedish Hockey Hall Of Fame
The Swedish Hockey Hall of Fame was created 2011 to honor those individuals who have contributed to Swedish ice hockey. The Hall of Fame includes notable players, coaches, referees and other personalities. The first inductees were honored in 2011 and are recorded with an inductee number. Currently (2018) there are 120 inductees in the hall of fame. Some election is by voting open to the public. Swedish Hockey Hall of Fame is independent of the International Ice Hockey Federation Hockey Hall of Fame, but operated with similar structure and regulatory framework. Inductees *1. Skellefteå AIK Players
Skellefteå (, locally ) is a city in Västerbotten County, Sweden. It is the seat of Skellefteå Municipality, which had 73,246 inhabitants in 2021. The city is historically industrial, with mining being a large part of that industry, especially for gold, leading to the city being nicknamed ''Guldstaden'' ("gold town"). Politically, Skellefteå is a Social Democratic stronghold. The city is a well-known ice hockey town, with its main team Skellefteå AIK playing in the Swedish top division: the SHL, which they have won on several occasions; most recently in 2014.
