Alliance Of Democrats (political International)
The Alliance of Democrats was a loose political international which operated from 2005 to 2012. While it did not publish an official manifesto, it consisted of a broad array of political parties that identified as centre-right, centrist, and centre-left. It was founded by the United States Democratic Party, the European Democratic Party (EDP) and the Council of Asian Liberals and Democrats (CALD). The Alliance included members of the Centrist Democrat International (such as the Christian Democrat Party of Chile and the Democratic Union of Catalonia) and the Liberal International (such as all members of the Council of Asian Liberals and Democrats), as well as former members of Socialist International (the Indian National Congress), Israel's relatively new Kadima party, and conservative parties such as the Democratic Party of Serbia, which is also member of the International Democrat Union. Socialist International
The Socialist International (SI) is a political international or worldwide organisation of political parties which seek to establish democratic socialism. It consists mostly of socialist and labour-oriented political parties and organisations. Although formed in 1951 as a successor to the Labour and Socialist International, it has antecedents in the late 19th century. The organisation currently includes 132 member parties and organisations from over 100 countries. Its members have governed in many countries, including most of Europe. The Democratic Party (DP) is a centre-left liberal political party in Hong Kong. Chaired by Lo Kin-hei, it is the flagship party in the pro-democracy camp and currently has 7 elected representatives in the District Councils. The Democratic Movement (french: link=no, Mouvement démocrate, ; MoDem, ) is a centre to centre-right political party in France that is characterised by a strong pro-European stance. MoDem was founded by François Bayrou to succeed the Union for French Democracy (UDF) and contest the 2007 legislative election, after his strong showing in the 2007 presidential election. Initially named the Democratic Party (''Parti démocrate''), the party was renamed "Democratic Movement", because there was already a small Democratic Party in France. MoDem secured an agreement with La République En Marche! in the 2017 legislative election after Bayrou endorsed the candidacy of Emmanuel Macron in February. The Democratic Front Party was an Egyptian political party. The party merged with the Free Egyptians Party in December 2013. Foundation and profile The party was founded in 2007 by Ahmed Diab and Yehia Al Gamal. The party adopted liberal ideologies. European Party (Cyprus)
The European Party (Greek: Evropaiko Komma, Ευρωπαϊκό Κόμμα; abbreviated Ευρωκό, "Evroko") was a political party in Cyprus founded in 2005, largely out of the parties New Horizons and European Democracy. In March 2016, it dissolved to merge into the Solidarity Movement. The two predecessors were considered the most nationalist, anti-Turkish and anti-immigrant among Greek Cypriot parties. Evroko had a hard-line stance on the Cyprus problem, rejecting any compromise with Turkey or the Turkish-dominated Northern Cyprus, as proposed by the Annan Plan for Cyprus. The Candlelight Party ( km, គណបក្សភ្លើងទៀន) is a liberal party in Cambodia. The party was a member of the Council of Asian Liberals and Democrats, Liberal International, and the Alliance of Democrats. Citizens' Movement for Change (french: Mouvement des Citoyens pour le Changement, MCC) is a Christian-democratic political party in the French Community of Belgium founded by Gérard Deprez in 1998. Deprez was the leader of the Francophone Christian Social Party (PSC) from 1982 to 1995.
