Ali Maher (footballer)
Ali Maher ( ar, علي ماهر; born December 3, 1973) is an Egyptian former football striker. He is currently the head coach of Future. Maher was a member in Al Ahly squad which won CAF Champions League 2001. International career Maher made several appearances for the Egypt national football team, including 1994 FIFA World Cup qualification and 1998 FIFA World Cup qualification matches. He also played for Egypt at the 1996 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa where he scored a goal against Cameroon in the group stage'. 1994 FIFA World Cup Qualification
The 1994 FIFA World Cup qualification was a series of tournaments organised by the six FIFA confederations. The 1994 FIFA World Cup featured 24 teams with one place reserved for the host nation, United States, and one place for the defending champions, Germany. The remaining 22 places were determined by a qualification process, in which 147 teams, from the six FIFA confederations, competed. The Egyptian Premier League ( ar, الدوري المصري الممتاز), also known as WE Egyptian Premier League (WE EPL) after the addition of title sponsor WE, is a professional association football league in Egypt and the top level of the Egyptian football league system. The league comprises 18 teams and operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Egyptian Second Division. Seasons mostly run from August to May. Unlike most other leagues, all games are played all over the week. Cairo International Stadium
The Cairo International Stadium ( ar, ستاد القاهرة الدولي), formerly known as Nasser Stadium, is an Olympic-standard, multi-use stadium with an all-seated capacity of 75,000. The architect of the stadium is the German Werner March, who had built from 1934 to 1936 the Olympic Stadium in Berlin. The engineering and construction supervision work of the stadium was performed by ACE Moharram Bakhoum. It is the 69th largest stadium in the world. Ismailia ( ar, الإسماعيلية ', ) is a city in north-eastern Egypt. Situated on the west bank of the Suez Canal, it is the capital of the Ismailia Governorate.
