Alex Davies (born 27 July 1987) is an English former professional snooker player from Holland-on-Sea in Essex. He is the youngest person ever to win the English Amateur Championship, in 2003. Davies began his professional career by playing Challenge Tour (snooker), Challenge Tour in 2003, at the time the second-level professional tour. Davies was on the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association, WPBSA Main Tour for the 2007–08 snooker season, 2007–08 season, but dropped off. In May 2013, he returned to the main tour by winning five matches at the first event of the 2013 Q School concluding with a 4–1 win over Mitchell Travis to earn a place on the tour for the 2013–14 snooker season, 2013–14 and 2014–15 snooker season, 2014–15 season. Alexander Luke Davies (born 23 August 1994) is an English cricketer who plays for Warwickshire. He is a right-handed batsman who also plays as a wicket-keeper. Davies was included in the England Under-19 squad for the 2012 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup. In the 2017 County Championship, he became the first wicket-keeper for Lancashire to score 1,000 runs in a season. In July 2021, it was announced that Davies would join Warwickshire ahead of the 2022 season on a 3-year deal. In the inaugural season of The Hundred, he was signed by the Southern Brave. He was the joint second highest run scorer for Southern Brave, scoring 202 runs in 10 matches. In February 2022, Davies was fined and banned from playing in the opening round of the 2022 County Championship over "historic offensive tweets". Alex Davies (footballer)
is a professional Australian rules footballer playing for the Gold Coast Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Early life Davies was born in Woollongong, New South Wales to a Japanese mother and Tasmanian-born father. He was raised in Cairns, Queensland. He grew up playing Australian rules football for the Manunda Hawks and basketball for the Cairns Marlins, where he was considered an outstanding junior prospect in both sports. At the age of 12, he was placed in the Gold Coast Suns Academy as well as being placed in the Cairns Taipans' academy program as a teenager. In 2017, Davies captained Queensland to an Under-16 Junior National Basketball Championship victory which led to selection for his home state at the 2018 Basketball Australia Under-18 National Championships. Elliot Minor are an English rock band from York, England. The band consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Alex Davies, vocalist and guitarist Ed Minton, drummer Dan Hetherton, bassist Ed Hetherton and keyboardist Ali Paul. The band had a string of Top 40 singles in the UK chart, including " Jessica", " The White One Is Evil", " Still Figuring Out" alongside their biggest hit " Parallel Worlds". In 2010, the band entered an indefinite hiatus which lasted until 2014 when they played some reunion shows and released a new single before returning to their hiatus. Alex Davies (born 20 June 1986) is an English rugby union player and coach at Rosslyn Park. Davies can play at either fly half or scrum half. Davies set points records for Plymouth Albion kicking a record-breaking seven penalties in Plymouth’s 35-24 relegation play-off victory over Birmingham & Solihull R.F.C. and previously in the season equalled the south coast club’s record for most points in a league match by scoring 26 points against the same opposition at Damson Park before joining London Welsh in July 2011. Davies played for London Welsh for four years, twice winning promotion to the Premiership and making thirty six Guinness Premiership appearances before spending two years at Ealing Trailfinders and two at Yorkshire Carnegie.
