Ahmed Al-Ghamdi
Ahmed al-Ghamdi (2 July 197911 September 2001) was a Saudi terrorist hijacker. He was one of five hijackers of United Airlines Flight 175 as part of the September 11 attacks. Ahmed Al-Ghamdi was born in Saudi Arabia in 1979. He dropped out of school to fight in Chechnya and was probably sent to train in al-Qaeda camps in Afghanistan where he would be chosen by Osama bin Laden to participate in the terrorist attacks in America. He arrived in the United States in May 2001 on a tourist visa and helped in planning the attacks. On September 11, 2001, he boarded United Airlines Flight 175 and assisted in the hijacking of the plane, allowing lead hijacker and trained pilot Marwan al-Shehhi to take control and crash it into the South Tower of the World Trade Center, as part of the coordinated attacks. Ahmed Al-Ghamdi (footballer)
Ahmed Mazen Ahmed Al-Hijazi Al-Ghamdi (; born 20 September 2001) is a Saudi Arabian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Al-Ittihad and the Saudi Arabia national team. Personal life Born in Jeddah, his family moved to Vancouver, British Columbia when Al-Ghamdi was one year old. When he was 18, he was accepted into the University of British Columbia. In addition to his love for football, he also enjoys basketball, having played basketball for his high school team, which he attributed to have helped him to develop his football career. Imam (; , '; : , ') is an Islamic leadership position. For Sunni Islam, Sunni Muslims, Imam is most commonly used as the title of a prayer leader of a mosque. Marwan Al-Shehhi
Marwan Yousef Mohamed Rashid Lekrab al-Shehhi (; 9 May 197811 September 2001) was an Emirati terrorist hijacker from al-Qaeda who served as the hijacker-pilot of United Airlines Flight 175, crashing the Boeing 767 into the South Tower of the World Trade Center (1973–2001), World Trade Center as part of the September 11 attacks. He was one of five Hijackers in the September 11 attacks, hijackers aboard the aircraft and one of two Emiratis to take part in the attacks, the other being Fayez Banihammad, who helped him hijack the same plane. Al-Shehhi was a student from the United Arab Emirates who moved to Germany in 1996 and soon became close friends with Mohamed Atta, Ziad Jarrah and Ramzi bin al-Shibh, forming the Hamburg cell. Osama Bin Laden
Osama bin Laden (10 March 19572 May 2011) was a militant leader who was the founder and first general emir of al-Qaeda. Ideologically a pan-Islamist, Bin Laden participated in the Afghan ''mujahideen'' against the Soviet Union, and supported the Bosnian ''mujahideen'' during the Yugoslav Wars.
