Adrian Eagle
Adrian Eagle, born Adrian Naidu, is an Australian singer-songwriter. He is an ARIA Award winner and also a winner of two categories in the SA Music Awards in 2019. Early life He was born in Adelaide to a Maltese mother and a Fiji-Indian father, with the surname Naidu. He has spoken frankly of his problems with anxiety, and his debut EP, ''Mama'', pays homage to the women who have supported him, especially his mum, who raised him as a single mother. Career His first break came when his cover of "Redemption Song" was shared by rapper 360. He later collaborated with the Hilltop Hoods on their single "Clark Griswold". That song won them the 2018 ARIA for Best Urban Release. He went on to release the singles "17 Again" and "A.O.K." (which both had national rotation on Triple J,) and his debut EP, ''Mama'', in 2019. ARIA Award For Best Soul/R&B Release
The ARIA Music Award for Best Soul/R&B Release, is an award presented at the annual ARIA Music Awards, which recognises "the many achievements of Aussie artists across all music genres", since 1987. It is handed out by the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA), an organisation whose aim is "to advance the interests of the Australian record industry." A previous category, Best Urban Album, was split into Best Soul/R&B Release and Best Hip Hop Release, which were first presented in 2019. To be eligible, the work must be within the RnB, soul, funk, reggae or dancehall genres. The nominated release must qualify for inclusion in the ARIA Album Chart, and cannot be entered in any other genre categories. The ARIA Music Awards of 2019 are the 33rd Annual Australian Recording Industry Association Music Awards (generally known as ARIA Music Awards or simply The ARIAs) and consist of a series of awards, including the 2019 ARIA Artisan Awards, ARIA Hall of Fame Awards, and ARIA Fine Arts Awards and the ARIA Awards.
