Austin Airport (Nevada)
Austin Airport is a public use airport owned by the U.S. Bureau of Land Management five miles southwest of Austin, in Lander County, Nevada. Many U.S. airports use the same three-letter location identifier for the FAA and IATA, but this airport is TMT to the FAA and ASQ to the IATA (which assigned TMT to Porto Trombetas Airport in Pará, Brazil). Facilities Austin Airport covers 1,205 acres (488 ha) at an elevation of 5,735 feet (1,748 m). Its single runway, 18/36, is 5,999 by 75 feet (1,829 x 23 m). In the year ending June 24, 2020, the airport had 3,720 aircraft operations, average 71 per month: 84% general aviation, 10% air taxi, and 7% military. Four aircraft were then based at this airport, all single-engine. Austin Executive Airport is a public-use airport in Travis County, 14 miles northeast of Austin, immediately southeast of Pflugerville and north of Manor. It was known as Bird's Nest Airport (FAA: 6R4) until 2011. Many U.S. airports use the same three-letter location identifier for the FAA and IATA, but this facility is EDC to the FAA and has no IATA code. History Austin Executive Airport opened in 2011 with funding from Ron Henriksen, who also operates Houston Executive Airport. It incorporates the former Bird's Nest Airport, which operated for about 40 years on , and adjacent property purchased for the expansion. A new runway was built and the original runway was shortened from to . Austin Municipal Airport is a public owned public use airport located two nautical miles (3.2 km) east of the central business district of the city of Austin, in Mower County, Minnesota, United States. Facilities and aircraft Austin Municipal Airport covers an area of at an elevation of 1234 feet (376 m) above mean sea level. It has one concrete runway: 17/35 is 5,800 by 100 feet (1,768 x 30 m).
