Joseph Archibald
Dr. Joseph Samuel Archibald, QC (27 January 1934 – 3 April 2014) was a Saint Kittitian-born British Virgin Islander jurist, lawyer, registrar, magistrate, former Director of Public Prosecutions, and former Attorney General. Biography Archibald was a native of Saint Kitts and Nevis. On 12 July 1960, he was admitted to Bar as a barrister of the Honourable Society of Lincoln's Inn in London. Archibald specialised in civil litigation, commercial law, banking law, international arbitration, property law, and insolvency. He served on the Magistrate's Court, Appellate Court, as well as the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council in the United Kingdom. He was elevated to Queen's Counsel in 1980. Archibald was appointed Attorney General of St Kitts, Nevis & Anguilla from 1960 to 1964 and from 1966 to 1968. He moved from Saint Kitts to the British Virgin Islands to practice law. Lee Llewellyn Moore
Sir Lee Llewellyn Moore (15 February 1939 – 6 May 2000) served as Premier of Saint Kitts and Nevis from 20 May 1979 to 21 February 1980. He was a member of the Saint Kitts and Nevis Labour Party. He graduated with an LLB from King's College London, and later earned an LLM and a Diploma in Theology. Lee became an aide to Premier Robert Llewellyn Bradshaw in 1967, and was appointed attorney general in 1971. He became Deputy Premier in the cabinet of Paul Southwell. When Southwell died, Lee became Premier in 1979 but lost in the 1980 general election. He remained as leader of the opposition until 1984, when he lost his seat in the National Assembly. Sir Samuel Weymouth Tapley Seaton (28 July 1950 – 29 June 2023) was the fourth governor-general of Saint Kitts and Nevis from 2015 to 2023. Early life and education Seaton was born on Saint Kitts, the son of William A. Seaton and his wife, Pearl A. Seaton, Godwin. He received his primary and secondary education from Epworth Junior School, Basseterre High School, and St. Kitts-Nevis Grammar School. The politics of Saint Kitts and Nevis takes place in the framework of a federal parliamentary democracy. Saint Kitts and Nevis is an independent Commonwealth realm with Charles III as its head of state, viceregally represented by a Governor-General. He acts on the advice of the prime minister, who is the majority party leader in the National Assembly, and who, with a cabinet, conducts affairs of state.
