Arie Van Den Brand
Ir. Arie van den Brand (born 22 February 1951 in Oostvoorne) is a Dutch GreenLeft politician. He was member of the House of Representatives for GreenLeft between May 2002 and March 2004. Van den Brand studied agriculture science at the University of Wageningen. He continued to work at the People's Academy of Bergen as director of the ILTC (the educational centre for the agricultural sector), and was a director of the foundation "In Natura". He was member of the Labour Party, but switched to GreenLeft in 2000. Parliament In the 2002 election, Van den Brand was elected to the Dutch House of Representatives. He was spokesperson on agriculture, nature management, food safety, foreign trade, water management and tourism. After a heart attack he was inactive in parliament between December 2002 and September 2003. Oostvoorne is a village in the Dutch province of South Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Voorne aan Zee, and lies about north of Hellevoetsluis. GreenLeft
(, ; GL) is a green political party in the Netherlands. It was formed on 1 March 1989 from the merger of four left-wing parties: the Communist Party of the Netherlands, the Pacifist Socialist Party, the Political Party of Radicals and the Evangelical People's Party, which shared left-wing and progressive ideals and had previously co-operated in the Rainbow coalition for the 1989 European Parliament election. Heart Attack
A myocardial infarction (MI), commonly known as a heart attack, occurs when Ischemia, blood flow decreases or stops in one of the coronary arteries of the heart, causing infarction (tissue death) to the heart muscle. The most common symptom is retrosternal Angina, chest pain or discomfort that classically radiates to the left shoulder, arm, or jaw. The pain may occasionally feel like heartburn.
