Georgia Odette Sallybanks (born 1997), who performs as Odette, is an English-born Australian singer-songwriter and musician. Her debut album, '' To a Stranger'' (July 2018), peaked at No. 13 on the ARIA Albums Chart. At the ARIA Music Awards of 2018 it was nominated for Best Adult Contemporary Album and Breakthrough Artist – Release. Early life Odette was born in Bath, England in 1997 and grew up in inner western Sydney, Australia. Her mother is South African and her father is English-born. She began writing music at approximately eight years old, while attending Haberfield Public School. Gretta Ray (born May 22nd 1998) is an Australian singer-songwriter from Melbourne, Victoria. In 2016, she was the winner of the national Triple J Unearthed radio competition for bands and songwriters, and the 2016 Vanda & Young Global Songwriting Competition, with her song "Drive". Streaming media is multimedia that is delivered and consumed in a continuous manner from a source, with little or no intermediate storage in network elements. ''Like a Version'' is a weekly segment on Australian youth radio station Triple J. It involves Australian and international artists playing two songs live in the Triple J studio, one of their own songs (an "original") and then a cover version, hence the name of the segment. The title is wordplay on the Madonna song " Like a Virgin". It was created by Mel Bampton as part of the ''Mel in the Morning'' program. The segment was later moved to Robbie Buck's Drive program, and then to the Breakfast Show. Due to the intimate nature of the studio, the performance is often acoustic or otherwise stripped-back, however some bands have stretched this concept. The segment has grown in popularity over the years, leading to the release of compilation CDs featuring the best covers. Some particularly well-received covers have also made it into the Triple J Hottest 100.
