The Apex AP-0 is an all-electric concept sports car announced in 2020 by the British/Hong Kong sportscar company Apex Motors, with plans to go into production in late 2022. Academy Color Encoding System
The Academy Color Encoding System (ACES) is a color image encoding system created under the auspices of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. ACES is characterised by a color accurate workflow, with "seamless interchange of high quality motion picture images regardless of source". The system defines its own primary colors as being on the spectral locus as defined by the CIE xyY specification. The white point is approximate to the chromaticity of CIE Daylight with a Correlated Color Temperature (CCT) of 6000K. Most ACES compliant image files are encoded in 16-bit half-floats, thus allowing ACES OpenEXR files to encode 30 stops of scene information. The ACESproxy format uses integers with a log encoding. Ampyx Power
Ampyx Power was a Dutch company based in The Hague whose aim was to develop utility-scale airborne wind energy systems. The company was founded in 2008 by Bas Lansdorp and Dr. Richard Ruiterkamp. History Founding Originally, the company was a team that former astronaut Wubbo Ockels formed at Delft University of Technology to investigate how heat, wind, and friction energy could be converted into electricity. The team consisted of several scientists, including team leader Richard Ruiterkamp and Wubbo Ockels. Bas Lansdorp later stepped in as a business manager. The company's original prototypes were tethered flexible membrane kites but then began to work on fixed wing aircraft. The company now consists of 50 employees of which 40 are engineers.
