AOP (IRC)
IRC services is a set of features implemented on many Internet Relay Chat networks. Services are automated bots with special status which are generally used to provide users with access with certain privileges and protection. They usually implement some sort of login system so that only people on the access control list can obtain these services. Components The most popular style of services uses a number of fake clients whose names end in "Serv". The four below are nearly always seen in services of this style. * ''ChanServ'', a channel service bot, is used to protect channel operators and help run the channel. This is convenient for the operators because they do not need to have an operator on the channel all of the time to keep their status. * ''NickServ'', a nickname service bot, is used to register and protect user nicknames. * ''MemoServ'', a memo service bot, is used to record and deliver messages to users who are currently offline. * ''OperServ'' is used by IRC operato ...

Apocalypse Of Peter
The Apocalypse of Peter, also called the Revelation of Peter, is an early Christian text of the 2nd century and a work of apocalyptic literature. It is the earliest-written extant work depicting a Christian account of heaven and hell in detail. The Apocalypse of Peter is influenced by both Jewish apocalyptic literature and Greek philosophy of the Hellenistic period. The text is extant in two diverging versions based on a lost Koine Greek original: a shorter Greek version and a longer Ethiopic version. The work is pseudepigraphal: it is purportedly written by the disciple Peter, but its actual author is unknown. The Apocalypse of Peter describes a divine vision experienced by Peter through the risen Jesus Christ. After the disciples inquire about signs of the Second Coming of Jesus, the work delves into a vision of the afterlife (), and details both heavenly bliss for the righteous and infernal punishments for the damned. In particular, the punishments are graphically des ...

Authors Of Pain
The Authors of Pain (AOP) are a professional wrestling tag team consisting of Akam and Rezar, with Paul Ellering as their manager. They are best known for their tenure in WWE, where they were former one-time Raw Tag Team Champions and one-time NXT Tag Team Champions. Akam and Rezar first teamed up in June 2016, paired with manager Paul Ellering in WWE's then developmental league NXT. They won the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic in 2016, leading to them winning the NXT Tag Team Championship. In April 2018, Akam and Rezar were promoted to the Raw brand, with Drake Maverick taking over as their manager and the team's name officially shortened to AOP. AOP took a hiatus in early 2019 and returned later that year, but without Maverick as their manager and later becoming enforcers to Seth Rollins until their release from the company in September 2020. They re-signed with WWE in 2023, and made their televised return in January 2024, once again aligning themselves with Ellering, as we ...

Appellation D'origine Protégée (Switzerland)
In Switzerland, the ''appellation d'origine protégée'' (, ; abbr. AOP ) is a geographical indication (see also Appellation) protecting the origin and the quality of traditional food products other than wines (wines have another label called ''appellation d'origine contrôlée'', AOC, 'controlled designation of origin'). In the past, the ''appellation d'origine contrôlée'' certification was used for both wines and other food products. In 2013, to match the system of the European Union, the ''appellation d'origine contrôlée'' was replaced by the ''appellation d'origine protégée'' for agricultural products other than wine. Geographical indications and traditional specialities in Switzerland The ''appellation d'origine protégée'' (AOP, protected designation of origin) certifies that "everything, from the raw material to the processing and the final product, comes from one clearly defined region of origin". The ''indication géographique protégée'' (IGP, protected ...

Protected Designation Of Origin
The protected designation of origin (PDO) is a type of geographical indication of the European Union aimed at preserving the designations of origin of food-related products. The designation was created in 1992 and its main purpose is to designate products that have been produced, processed and developed in a specific geographical area, using the recognized know-how of local producers and ingredients from the region concerned. Features The characteristics of the products protected are essentially linked to their terroir. The European or UK PDO logo, of which the use is compulsory, documents this link. European Regulation 510/2006 of 20 March 2006 acknowledges a priority to establish a community protection system that ensures equal conditions of competition between producers. This European Regulation is intended to guarantee the reputation of regional products, adapt existing national protections to make them comply with the requirements of the World Trade Organization, and info ...

Attribute-oriented Programming
Attribute-oriented programming (@OP) is a technique for embedding metadata, namely attributes, within program code. Attribute-oriented programming in various languages Java With the inclusion of Metadata Facility for Java (JSR-175) into the J2SE 5.0 release it is possible to utilize attribute-oriented programming right out of the box. XDoclet library makes it possible to use attribute-oriented programming approach in earlier versions of Java. C# The C# language has supported attributes from its very first release. These attributes was used to give run-time information and are not used by a preprocessor. Currently with source generators, you can use attributes to drive generation of additional code at compile-time. UML The Unified Modeling Language (UML) supports a kind of attribute called stereotypes In social psychology, a stereotype is a generalization, generalized belief about a particular category of people. It is an expectation that people might have abou ...

Aspect-oriented Programming
In computing, aspect-oriented programming (AOP) is a programming paradigm that aims to increase modularity by allowing the separation of cross-cutting concerns. It does so by adding behavior to existing code (an advice) ''without'' modifying the code, instead separately specifying which code is modified via a " pointcut" specification, such as "log all function calls when the function's name begins with 'set. This allows behaviors that are not central to the business logic (such as logging) to be added to a program without cluttering the code of core functions. AOP includes programming methods and tools that support the modularization of concerns at the level of the source code, while aspect-oriented software development refers to a whole engineering discipline. Aspect-oriented programming entails breaking down program logic into cohesive areas of functionality (so-called ''concerns''). Nearly all programming paradigms support some level of grouping and encapsulation of conce ...

Agent-oriented Programming
Agent-oriented programming (AOP) is a programming paradigm where the construction of the software is centered on the concept of software agents. In contrast to object-oriented programming which has objects (providing methods with variable parameters) at its core, AOP has externally specified agents (with interfaces and messaging capabilities) at its core. They can be thought of as abstractions of objects. Exchanged messages are interpreted by receiving "agents", in a way specific to its class of agents. History Historically, the concept of agent-oriented programming and the idea of centering software around the concept of an Agent was introduced by Yoav Shoham within his artificial intelligence studies in 1990. His agents are specific to his own paradigm as they have only one method, with one parameter. To quote Yoav Shoham from his paper in 1990 for a basic difference between AOP and OOP: Frameworks There are multiple AOP 'frameworks', also called agent platforms, that imp ...
