20th International Emmy Awards
The 20th International Emmy Awards took place on November 23, 1992 in New York City. The award ceremony, presented by the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (IATAS), honors all programming produced and originally aired outside the United States. Ceremony The nominees for the 20th International Emmy Awards were selected by an international panel of television industry judges. More than 250 programs were written for the awards. The United Kingdom received eight nominations, a number considered low compared to previous editions, followed by Canada with seven mentions. The winners were announced on November 23, 1992, at the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel. The International Academy awarded the Directorate Award to the Italian Silvio Berlusconi and to Bill Cosby the Founders Award. ''Drop the Dead Donkey'' is a British television sitcom that was first shown on Channel 4 in the United Kingdom between 1990 and 1998. The Canadian Brass is a Canadian brass quintet formed in 1970 in Toronto, Ontario, by Charles Daellenbach (tuba) and Gene Watts (trombone), with horn player Graeme Page and trumpeters Stuart Laughton and Bill Phillips completing the quintet. , Daellenbach is the sole original member in the group, with the other members being trumpeters Caleb Hudson and Brandon Ridenour, hornist Jeff Nelsen, and trombonist Achilles Liarmakopoulos. Josep Maria Carreras Coll (; born 5 December 1946), better known as José Carreras (, ), is a Spanish operatic tenor who is particularly known for his performances in the operas of Donizetti, Verdi and Puccini.
