2022–23 UAE President's Cup
The 2022–23 UAE President's Cup will be the 46th edition of the UAE President's Cup, Sharjah are the defending champions after beating Al Wahda in the final last season. This season will see a new competition format where all clubs from both Pro League and First Division compete in the knockout stage from the round of 32 to the final, the defending champions Sharjah will get a bye to the round of 16. The reason behind this is to cut schedule after the final of last season was postponed due to the Play off match against Australia. Sharjah FC
Sharjah Football Club ( ar, نادي الشارقة لكرة القدم) is an Emirati professional football club based in Sharjah that competes in the UAE Pro League. Their home stadium is Sharjah Stadium. Founded in 1966, it has been the most successful team in the Emirate of Sharjah, winning 6 pro league titles, 9 presidents cups and 2 super cups. The club was also the first official UAE league champion since its establishment in 1974. History Golden Age Sharjah FC was founded in 1966 under the name of Al Oruba Club, they were the first official champions of the UAE League winning it in 1974 after beating Al Ahli and Oman. The club would merge with Al Khaleej in 1974 to form ''Al Sharjah SCC'' and relocate their headquarters in Sharjah City. Baynounah SC
Baynounah Sports Club ( ar, نادي بينونة الرياضي) is an Emirati professional Association football, football club based in Emirate of Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi. It currently plays in UAE First Division League. History Founded in 2019 as Sport Support, they competed in the first season of the newly formed Emirati third-tier football league. They beat Al-Hazem FC (UAE), Al Hazem 2–1 in their first ever competitive match. Despite their good start, they would finish eighth in the league. In 2020, the club renamed itself Baynounah. They won the Hamdan bin Zayed championship after beating Al Hamra in the semifinal and Bu Hasa in the final by penalty kicks; this victory would help boost the clubs profile and garner a significant support in the Al Dhafra, Abu Dhabi, Al Dhafra region.
