2021–22 UConn Huskies Men's Basketball Team
The 2021–22 UConn Huskies men's basketball team represented the University of Connecticut in the 2021–22 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Huskies are led by fourth-year head coach Dan Hurley in the team's second season since their return to the Big East Conference. The Huskies played their home games at the Harry A. Gampel Pavilion in Storrs, Connecticut and the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut. They finished the season 23–10, 13–6 in Big East play to finish in third place. They defeated Seton Hall in the quarterfinals to advance to the semifinals of the Big East tournament where they lost to Villanova. They received an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament as the No. 5 seed in the West Region, where they were upset in the First Round by New Mexico State. Dan Hurley
Daniel S. Hurley (born January 16, 1973) is an American basketball coach who currently coaches the University of Connecticut men's basketball team. Hurley was named head coach of the Huskies on March 22, 2018, after two years at Wagner College and six years at the University of Rhode Island. Hurley turned down an aggressive long-term offer from Rhode Island in order to lead UConn. Prior to Wagner, Hurley was head coach of Saint Benedict's Preparatory School, where he is credited with building the New Jersey school into one of the top high school basketball programs in America. Hurley played five years of college basketball, including a redshirt year, at Seton Hall. During his first three seasons, his head coach was P. J. Carlesimo. 2021 Big East Men's Basketball Tournament
The 2021 Big East men's basketball tournament was a postseason men's basketball tournament for the Big East Conference. It was held from March 10 through March 13, 2021, at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Georgetown received the conference's bid to the 2021 NCAA tournament. Seeds All 11 Big East schools participated in the tournament. Teams were seeded by the conference record with tie-breaking procedures to determine the seeds for teams with identical conference records. The top five teams received first-round byes. Seeding for the tournament was determined at the close of the regular conference season. The Texas A&M Aggies men's basketball team represents Texas A&M University in NCAA Division I college basketball. The Aggies compete in the Southeastern Conference. Josh Carlton
Joshua Euria Carlton (born February 26, 1999) is an American professional basketball player who plays for Zenit Saint Petersburg of the VTB United League. He played college basketball for the UConn Huskies and the Houston Cougars. High school career Carlton played his freshman season at South Central High School in Winterville, North Carolina. His family moved to the Washington, D.C. area after his sophomore season and he enrolled at DeMatha Catholic High School. Carlton befriended teammate and future NBA player Markelle Fultz at DeMatha. The George Washington Colonials men's basketball team represents George Washington University in the United States' capital, Washington, D.C. It plays its home games in the Charles E. James David Bouknight (; born September 18, 2000) is an American professional basketball player for the Charlotte Hornets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the UConn Huskies. Early life and high school career Bouknight grew up in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, in New York City.
