2019–20 Calcutta Premier Division
The 2019 Calcutta Football League Premier Division was the 122nd season of the top state-level football league within the Indian state of West Bengal. It started from 26 July 2019. It had two sub-divisions: CFL Premier Division A and CFL Premier Division B. Peerless scripted history as they become the only club outside the Big Three—Mohun Bagan, East Bengal, & Mohammedan—to win the Championship in 61 years. Eastern Railway did the same back in 1958. Peerless SC
Peerless Sports Club (formerly known as Peerless FC), or simply Peerless, is an Indian professional football club based in Kolkata, West Bengal. Founded in 1993, the club is owned by Peerless Group and currently competes in the Calcutta Premier Division A, the top tier state football league of West Bengal. Peerless is widely regarded as "Giant killer" in Kolkata football. The club has refused to take part in the I-League 2nd Division owing to financial matters. Kamo Stephane Bayi (born 17 August 1996) is an Ivorian professional footballer who plays as a forward. Career Bayi was born in the Ivory Coast, but started his career in Nigeria with Akwa Starlets. In 2016, he moved to India to play for Calcutta Football League side George Telegraph. Juan Mera González (born 22 November 1993) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Indian Super League club Punjab. Martí Crespí Pascual (; born 15 June 1987) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays for Atlético Sanluqueño CF as a central defender. Kassim Aidara (born 12 May 1987) is a Senegalese-French former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Career Aidara started his career with Wellington United of New Zealand and subsequently represented lower league German clubs namely Niendorfer TSV, USC Paloma, Lüneburger SK Hansa. Alejandro Menéndez García (born 12 July 1966) is a Spanish football manager. Career Born in Gijón, Asturias, Menéndez started his managerial career at Sporting de Gijón's youth setup.
