2019 In World Lethwei Championship
The year 2019 is the 3rd year in the history of the World Lethwei Championship, a Lethwei promotion based in Myanmar. List of events WLC 7: Mighty Warriors ''WLC 7: Mighty Warriors'' was a Lethwei event held by World Lethwei Championship on February 22, 2019 at the Mandalar Thiri Indoor Stadium in Mandalay, Myanmar's 2nd largest city. Background The event was the first in Lethwei history to be broadcast internationally on UFC Fight Pass. Newly signed to the WLC, Vietnamese ONE Championship fighter Nguyễn Trần Duy Nhất made his debut and defeated Cambodia's fighting star Pich Mtes Khmang who was at his second Lethwei appearance. The year 2018 is the 2nd year in the history of the World Lethwei Championship, a Lethwei promotion based in Myanmar. List of events WLC 4: Bareknuckle-King ''WLC 4: Bareknuckle-King'' was a Lethwei event held on February 17, 2018 Wunna Theikdi Indoor Stadium in Myanmar's capital, Naypitaw. Background This event marked the first title defence of middleweight Lethwei world champion Too Too. For the occasion, he faced Ukraine's Vasyl Sorokin, who was one of the fastest rising stars in the world of kickboxing. Sorokin had already been in more than 20 major fights and had recently scored a victory over Thai superstar Sudsakorn Sor Klinmee to earn him the title shot. Dave Leduc
Dave Leduc (born 13 December 1991) is a Canadian Lethwei fighter who competes in the World Lethwei Championship, where he is the former WLC Cruiserweight World Champion. He is also the undefeated Openweight Lethwei World Champion under traditional rules. Leduc gained widespread notoriety by becoming the first Canadian to win in the controversial Prison Fight. In 2016, he travelled to Myanmar to achieve his dream of fighting Burmese bareknuckle boxing, considered the world's most brutal sport. 2013 SEA Games
The 2013 Southeast Asian Games (, ), officially known as the 27th Southeast Asian Games, or the 27th SEA Games, and commonly known as Naypyitaw 2013, was a Southeast Asian multi-sport event took place in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar from 11 to 22 December 2013, Around 4730 athletes from 11 participating nations competed at the games, which featured 460 events in 34 sports. Mite Yine ( my, မိုက်ရိုင်း; born April 26, 1992) is a Burmese Lethwei fighter who competes in the World Lethwei Championship's Featherweight division. He is a former Lethwei Golden Belt champion, having won the title in 2015 and 2016.
