Basketball At The 2018 Commonwealth Games – Men's Tournament
The men's basketball tournament at the 2018 Commonwealth Games was held on the Gold Coast, Australia from April 5 to 15. The basketball competition was held at three venues: Cairns Convention Centre in Cairns, Townsville Entertainment and Convention Centre in Townsville for the preliminaries and the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre on the Gold Coast for the finals. This was the second time that the basketball competition was held at the Commonwealth Games. A total of eight men's competed (96 athletes, at 12 per team) in each respective tournament. Venues Three venues in Queensland were used. All seat 5,000 for the basketball competitions. Qualification A total of eight men's teams qualified to compete at the games. 2017–18 EuroCup Basketball
The 2017–18 EuroCup Basketball, also known as 7DAYS EuroCup for sponsorship reasons, season was the 16th season of Euroleague Basketball's secondary level professional club basketball tournament. It will be the tenth season since it was renamed from the ULEB Cup to the EuroCup, and the second season under the title sponsorship name of 7DAYS. The 2018 EuroCup Finals were played between Darüşşafaka and Lokomotiv Kuban, and won by Darüşşafaka, which was their first EuroCup title. As the winners of the 2017–18 EuroCup Basketball, Darüşşafaka qualified for the European top-tier level 2018–19 EuroLeague season. Format changes For the 2017–18 season, the EuroCup went back to the initial format for the 2016–17 season which includes 24 teams playing in four regular season groups, with 16 teams advancing to the Top 16 phase, featuring four groups of four teams each. Alvark Tokyo is a Japanese professional basketball team located in Tokyo. The team, which is sponsored by Toyota, currently plays in the Japanese B.League. Until 2000, the team was known as the Toyota Pacers. Founded as Toyota Pacers in 1948, the club won two consecutive JBL Super League league titles in 2006 and 2007. 2018 FIBA Asia Champions Cup
The 2018 FIBA Asia Champions Cup was the 27th staging of the FIBA Asia Champions Cup, the international basketball club tournament of FIBA Asia. The tournament, which was originally scheduled to be hosted by China, took place in Thailand from 27 September to 2 October 2018. Games were played at Stadium29 in Nonthaburi. The 2018 Liga Sudamericana de Básquetbol (South American Basketball League) was the 23rd edition of the second-tier level continental professional club basketball competition in the Americas, the FIBA Americas League. Sixteen teams from South America competed over three rounds to determine the champion.
