2018 San Francisco 49ers Season
The 2018 season was the San Francisco 49ers' 69th in the National Football League, their 73rd overall, their fifth playing their home games at Levi's Stadium and their second under the head coach/ general manager tandem of Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch. After finishing 6–10 from an 0–9 start the previous year, the 49ers were looking to improve from that record and make the playoffs for the first time since 2013. However, the 49ers' season ended with a record of 4–12 and were plagued by multiple season-ending injuries, which have included RB Jerick McKinnon tearing his ACL in training camp and QB Jimmy Garoppolo also tearing his ACL in Week 3 against the Kansas City Chiefs. NFC West
The National Football Conference - Western Division or NFC West is one of the four divisions of the National Football Conference (NFC) in the National Football League (NFL). It currently has four members: the Arizona Cardinals, the Los Angeles Rams, the San Francisco 49ers, and the Seattle Seahawks. The division was formed in 1967 as the National Football League Coastal Division, keeping with the theme of having all of the league's divisions starting with the letter "C." The division was so named because its teams were fairly close to the coasts of the United States, although they were on opposite coasts, making for long travel between division rivals. 2018 Kansas City Chiefs Season
The 2018 Kansas City Chiefs season was the franchise's 49th season in the National Football League, their 59th overall, their sixth under head coach Andy Reid, and their second under general manager Brett Veach. The Chiefs finished 12–4 and won their third consecutive AFC West title, made their fourth consecutive playoff appearance, but lost to the eventual Super Bowl champion New England Patriots in the AFC Championship. Center or Centre (C) is a position in gridiron football. The center is the innermost lineman of the offensive line on a football team's offense. The center is also the player who passes (or "snaps") the ball between his legs to the quarterback at the start of each play. Eric Reid (American Football)
Eric Todd Reid Jr. (born December 10, 1991) is a former American football safety. He played college football for Louisiana State University (LSU), and received consensus All-American recognition. He was selected in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers, with whom he made the 2014 Pro Bowl. Early life Reid was born to Eric Reid Sr. and Sharon Reid in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He attended Dutchtown High School in Geismar, Louisiana, where he played football, basketball, and ran track. In football, he recorded 78 tackles, nine sacks, four interceptions, and three fumble recoveries as a junior. As a senior, he received Louisiana Class 5A All-state honors after registering 45 tackles and three interceptions. He played in the 2010 U.S. Army All-American Bowl. Safety is a position in gridiron football on the defense. The safeties are defensive backs who line up ten to fifteen yards from the line of scrimmage. Garry Montzell Gilliam Jr. (born November 26, 1990) is a former American football offensive tackle. He was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Seattle Seahawks after the 2014 NFL Draft. He played college football at Penn State. Early years Gilliam played high school football at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, Pennsylvania. He was an All-American, all-state, and All-Mid-Penn Conference selection. Gilliam played tight end and defensive end at Milton Hersey School. He recorded 350 receiving yards, 20 receptions, and four receiving touchdowns in his career. Cornellius "Tank" Carradine (born February 18, 1990) is a former American football defensive end. He was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft. Defensive end (DE) is a defensive position in the sport of gridiron football. This position has designated the players at each end of the defensive line, but changes in formations over the years have substantially changed how the position is played.
