The 2018 Badminton Asia Championships, was a badminton tournament which took place at Wuhan Sports Center Gymnasium in China from 24 to 29 April 2018 and has a total purse of $350,000. Li Junhui
Li Junhui (, born 10 May 1995) is a Chinese former badminton player. He was the gold medalist at the 2018 World Championships in the men's doubles event partnered with Liu Yuchen, two times won the gold medal at the Asian Championships in 2017 and 2018, and was a silver medalist at the 2020 Summer Olympics. Li was part of the national team that won the 2018 Asian Games, 2018 Thomas Cup, and 2019 Sudirman Cup. Career Li competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics. Partnered with Liu Yuchen, he finished as a silver medalist in the men's doubles, having been defeated by Lee Yang and Wang Chi-lin of Chinese Taipei in the final. Rizki Amelia Pradipta
Rizki Amelia Pradipta (born 1 September 1990) is an Indonesian badminton player specializing in doubles affiliated with Jaya Raya Jakarta club. She was two times Badminton Asia Championships, Asian Championships bronze medalists winning in 2018 Badminton Asia Championships, 2018 and 2019 Badminton Asia Championships, 2019. Della Destiara Haris (born 8 December 1992) is an Indonesian badminton player affiliated with Jaya Raya Jakarta club. Ayaka Takahashi
is a retired Japanese badminton player who was affiliated with Unisys badminton team. She is an Olympic Games gold medalist, two-time Asian Champion, two-time Asian Games silver medalist, and World Championship bronze medalist. Playing for the Unisys team with her regular partner Misaki Matsutomo in the women's doubles, she won five National Championships titles. In the international event, Takahashi and Matsutomo were ranked world number ones in October 2014. Misaki Matsutomo
is a Japanese badminton player who is a doubles specialist. She won the gold medal at the 2016 Summer Olympic women's doubles alongside Ayaka Takahashi. Despite playing doubles, she was also a finalist in girls' singles at the 2010 BWF World Junior Championships in Mexico. Career overview In 2016, she won the women's doubles gold medal at the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Zhang Nan (; born 1 March 1990) is a Chinese badminton player who specializes in both men's and mixed doubles. He found much success in mixed doubles with his former partner Zhao Yunlei. Liu Cheng (; born 4 January 1992) is a retired badminton player who represented China. He was the men's doubles World Champion in 2017 partnered with Zhang Nan, also the mixed doubles World and Asian Junior Champion in 2010 with Bao Yixin. Liu was part of the national team member that won the team events at the 2015, 2021 Sudirman Cup, 2018 Thomas Cup and 2018 Asian Games. Wang Yilyu (; ; born 8 November 1994), sometimes also transliterated as Wang Yilu, Wang Yilv or Wang Yilü, is a Chinese badminton player. He is the reigning mixed doubles Olympic Champion, and was two-time mixed doubles Asian Champion winning in 2018 and 2019. Career Wang competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics partnering with Huang Dongping as the second seeds. Huang Kaixiang (; born 15 January 1996) is a Chinese badminton player. He joined the China national badminton team in 2012, as his games at the China Badminton Super League attracted the attention of national-team coach Li Yongbo. At the BWF World Junior Championships, he won two gold medals in the mixed doubles event partnered with Chen Qingchen in 2013 and 2014 and one silver medal in the boys' doubles event partnered with Zheng Siwei in 2013.
