2017 Africa U-20 Cup Of Nations
The 2017 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations, officially known as the Total U-20 Africa Cup Of Nations, Zambia 2017, was the 14th edition of the Africa U-20 Cup of Nations (21st edition if tournaments without hosts are included), the biennial international youth football tournament organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for players aged 20 and below. The tournament was set to take place in Zambia between 26 February – 12 March 2017. The top four teams qualified for the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup in South Korea. Qualification The qualifiers were played between 1 April and 24 July 2016. At the end of the qualification phase, seven teams joined the hosts Zambia. Luther Wesley Singh (born 5 August 1997) is a South African professional football player who plays as a winger for Primeira Liga club Chaves, on loan from Danish club Copenhagen, and the South Africa national team. The 2013 African U-20 Championship officially known as the Orange African U-20 Championship, Algeria 2013 was the 19th edition of the African U-20 Championship. Victor Miguel de Freitas Gomes (born 15 December 1982) is a South African football referee. A PSL referee since 2008, Gomes was voted PSL Referee of the Season in 2012–13 and 2017–18 and has been an international referee since 2011. The inauguration of Edgar Lungu as the 6th President of Zambia took place on 13 September 2016. This was the second time Edgar Lungu took the oath after he first took office on 25 January 2015. Edgar Lungu took the oath alongside Inonge Wina as Vice-President of Zambia. The day of the inauguration was set as a public holiday in Zambia and Monday September 12 as a half working day.
