The 2017 Nottingham Open (known for sponsorship reasons as the Aegon Open Nottingham) was a professional tennis tournament played on outdoor grass courts. It was the 10th edition of the event for women and the 22nd edition for men, with the men's event being downgraded from an ATP World Tour 250 series event to an ATP Challenger Tour event in 2017. It was classified as a WTA International tournament on the 2017 WTA Tour. The event took place at the Nottingham Tennis Centre in Nottingham, United Kingdom from 12 June through 18 June 2017. WTA International Tournaments
The WTA International Tournaments was a category for professional tennis tournaments of the Women's Tennis Association from the 2009 WTA Tour until 2020, which replaced the previous Tier III and Tier IV categories. The winner of a WTA International adds 280 points to her WTA ranking. For the 2020 season, there were 32 tournaments, all knock-out tournaments with a prize money for every event at $275,000 ($775,000 for Shenzhen, and $525,000 for Guangzhou and Hong Kong). is a former professional Japanese tennis player. He started playing tennis at the age of four and turned professional in April 2003. John-Patrick Tracey "JP" Smith (born 24 January 1989) is an Australian professional tennis player who competes mainly on the ATP Challenger Tour, both in singles and doubles. Ričardas Berankis (; born June 21, 1990) is a Lithuanian professional tennis player. He is the first and only Lithuanian citizen (not counting Lithuanian American Vitas Gerulaitis) to enter the ATP top 50 rankings, making him the highest ranked Lithuanian tennis player of all time. Yuki Bhambri (born 4 July 1992) is an Indian professional tennis player. He is a former junior no. 1 and winner of the 2009 Australian Open Junior Championship.
