2016 ACC Men's Basketball Tournament
The 2016 Atlantic Coast Conference men's basketball tournament is the postseason men's basketball tournament for the Atlantic Coast Conference and was held at the Verizon Center in Washington D.C. from March 8–12, 2016. The winner of the tournament receives the conference's automatic bid to the 2016 NCAA tournament. The tournament included 14 of the 15 ACC teams due to Louisville's self-imposed postseason ban. This was the 20th consecutive ACC Tournament that featured Duke or UNC in the championship game. Capital One Arena is an indoor arena in Washington, D.C. Located in the Penn Quarter neighborhood, the arena sits atop the Gallery Place rapid transit station of the Washington Metro. 2015–16 Syracuse Orange Men's Basketball Team
The 2015–16 Syracuse Orange men's basketball team represented Syracuse University during the 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Orange were led by 40th-year head coach Jim Boeheim and played its home games at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, New York. They were third year members of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). The Orange finished the season 23–14, 9–9 in ACC play to finish in a tie for 9th place. They lost to Pittsburgh in the second round of the ACC tournament. London Tyus Perrantes Jr. (born October 3, 1994) is an American professional basketball player for Hapoel Gilboa Galil of the Israeli Basketball Premier League. He played college basketball for the Virginia Cavaliers. High school career Perrantes attended Crespi Carmelite High School, where he was coached by Russell White. Perrantes developed his signature calm, deliberate playing style after competing against older players. Jonathan Brice Johnson (born June 27, 1994) is an American professional basketball player for the Toyama Grouses of the B.League. He played college basketball for North Carolina, graduating in 2016. Anthony Remeral Gill (born October 17, 1992) is an American basketball player for the Washington Wizards of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Gill played college basketball for the South Carolina Gamecocks and the Virginia Cavaliers. Malcolm Moses Adams Brogdon (born December 11, 1992) is an American professional basketball player for the Boston Celtics of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Virginia Cavaliers under Tony Bennett. As a senior in 2015–16, he was a consensus first-team All-American.
