2014–15 Florida Gulf Coast Eagles Men's Basketball Team
The 2014–15 Florida Gulf Coast Eagles men's basketball team represented Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) in the 2014–15 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. FGCU was a member of the Atlantic Sun Conference. They played their home games at Alico Arena and were led by second year head coach Joe Dooley. They finished the season 22–11, 12–3 in A-Sun play to finish in second place. They advanced to the semifinals of the A-Sun tournament where they lost to USC Upstate. They received an invitation to the CollegeInsider.com Tournament where they lost in the first round to Texas A&M–Corpus Christi. Joe Dooley (basketball)
Joseph Gerard Dooley III (born January 29, 1965) is the former head men's basketball coach of the East Carolina University Pirates, having previously served as head coach from 1995 to 1999 and 2018-2022. Dooley was an assistant on the Kansas Jayhawks 2007–08 NCAA national championship team. and previously served as head coach at Florida Gulf Coast University. Dooley is a 1988 graduate of George Washington University in Washington, D.C., where he completed his bachelor's degree in speech communications. A four-year letter winner in basketball at George Washington, he started his last two seasons and was elected a team captain as a senior. A native of West Orange, New Jersey, Dooley was a prep player at St. Benedicts High School in New Jersey where he scored 1,140 career points. He is married to Tanya and has a son named Max. Montverde Academy is a private PK–12 school in Montverde, Florida, United States. History The school was founded in 1912 as Montgomery Industrial School. The school president was Henry P. Carpenter. It underwent a major expansion in 1921, when two new buildings were built for a cost of almost $40,000, including a concrete block dormitory for 200 boys and a new dining hall. The expansion was funded by donations, including $11,000 from R. Jay Arnold of Groveland, Florida. Rockdale County High School is located in the heart of Conyers, Georgia, United States, in the old-town district. RCHS is one of three high schools located in Rockdale County, along with Heritage High School, and Salem High School.
