2013 Conference Premier Play-off Final
The 2013 Conference Premier play-off Final, known as the 2013 Blue Square Bet Premier play-off Final for sponsorship purposes, was a football match between Wrexham and Newport County on 5 May 2013 at Wembley Stadium in London. It was the eleventh Conference Premier play-off Final and the first ever Wembley Final to feature two teams from Wales. After not having played in Wembley for 149 years the match represented the second time in the 2012–13 season for Wrexham who reached the final with a 5–2 aggregate win over Kidderminster Harriers following their appearance in the 2013 FA Trophy Final. The final also represented Newport County's second trip to Wembley in less than a year having played in the 2012 FA Trophy Final. Newport had beaten Grimsby Town 2–0 over two legs to reach the play-off final. 2012–13 Football Conference
The 2012–13 Football Conference season was the ninth season in which the Conference consisted of three divisions and the thirty-third season overall. The Conference covers the top two levels of Non-League football in England. The Conference Premier is the fifth highest level of the overall pyramid, whilst the Conference North and Conference South exist at the sixth level. The Conference was won by Mansfield Town who together with Newport County, the winner of the play-off of the National division, were promoted to Football League Two, while the bottom four were relegated to the North or South divisions. The champions of the North and South divisions were promoted to the National division, alongside the play-off winners from each division. The bottom three in each of the North and South divisions were relegated to the premier divisions of the Northern Premier League, Isthmian League or Southern League. Danny Crow
Daniel Stephen Crow (born 26 January 1986) is a retired English footballer who is currently manager of Harleston Town. Career Crow made his senior debut as a substitute for Norwich City in a Premier League match against Middlesbrough on 28 December 2004. He was loaned to Northampton Town towards the end of the 2004–05 season, where he scored two goals in ten games, and released by Norwich that summer. He signed for League Two side Peterborough United at the start of the 2005–06 season, becoming the club's top goalscorer with 17 goals. The next season was less successful, with Crow scoring 10 goals in 42 games. Scott Donnelly
Scott Paul Donnelly (born 25 December 1987) is an English footballer who plays as a midfielder for Hayes & Yeading United. Career Born in Hammersmith, Greater London, Donnelly had a promising start to his career, making his first league appearance for Queens Park Rangers at the age of 16 in October 2004 during a 2–1 defeat to Preston North End. A series of injuries set him back though and, despite signing a professional contract in 2006, he was released in January 2007. Donnelly then played for non-League side Wealdstone and scored on his debut. In July 2007, had a successful trial and joined Aldershot Town. Michael Flynn (footballer)
Michael John Samuel Flynn (born 17 October 1980) is a Welsh professional football manager and former player who played as a midfielder. He is the current head coach of EFL League Two club Walsall. Flynn began his career with Newport County, becoming a professional with Barry Town before his break out with Championship side Gillingham. He appeared 91 times for Bradford City. He returned to Newport County and played while obtaining his UEFA Pro License. Flynn became caretaker manager of Newport County in 2017 amid a relegation battle. After 2017's 'Great Escape', Newport County won FA Cup fixtures against Leeds United, Leicester City and Middlesbrough. Lenny Pidgeley
Leonard James Pidgeley (born 7 February 1984) is an English former footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Career Pidgeley was born in Twickenham, London. He initially signed up with Chelsea at the opening of the 2002–03 season, and was loaned out to Watford between September 2003 and May 2004, a deal initially intended to last for two months, but which was extended to the end of the season. His made his Watford début on 4 October 2003, coming on as a substitute in Watford's 1–0 win at Crewe Alexandra after the dismissal of Alec Chamberlain. Andy Morrell
Andrew Jonathan Morrell (born 28 September 1974) is an English former professional footballer. A striker, Morrell played 359 games in the Football League for Wrexham, Coventry City, Blackpool and Bury, scoring 96 goals. Brett Ryan Ormerod (born 18 October 1976) is an English retired professional footballer. A forward, he made 340 appearances in the Football League, including 215 for Blackpool, for whom he is the only player to have scored in all of the top four divisions of English football for the same club. AFC Wimbledon
AFC Wimbledon is an English professional football club, based in Merton, London, that plays in the EFL League Two, after being relegated from the EFL League One following the 2021–22 season. The club's home stadium is Plough Lane. The club was founded in 2002 by former supporters of Wimbledon F.C. after the Football Association allowed that club to relocate to Milton Keynes in Buckinghamshire, about north of Wimbledon. Lee Minshull
Lee Benjamin Minshull (born 11 November 1985) is an English former Professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Career Born in Chatham, Kent, Minshull played for Charlton Athletic School of Excellence as a youngster. He began his senior career with Ramsgate before moving to Tonbridge Angels in 2009. Ismail Yakubu
Ismail Salami Yakubu, (born 8 April 1985) is a Nigerian professional footballer who plays as a defender for Southern Football League side Merthyr Town. Robbie James Willmott (born 16 May 1990) is an English footballer who plays as a winger or midfielder for Walsall on loan from Newport County.
