The 2012 India Super Series was the fourth super series tournament of the 2012 BWF Super Series. The tournament took place in New Delhi, India from 24–29 April 2012 and had out a total purse of $200,000. Siri Fort Indoor Stadium
The DDA Siri Fort Sport Complex is a sports stadium in New Delhi, India. It was built for the 1982 Asian Games, next to the Asian Games village by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA), which also runs the facility now. Also close by is the Siri Fort Auditorium complex. Sports Basketball, Swimming Pool, Squash, Pitch and Putt Golf, Billiards, Snooker, Shooting, Skating, Tennis, Badminton Courts, Yoga, Aerobics, Gym, Calisthenics, Football, Cricket, Jogging track etc. 2010 Commonwealth Games The stadium hosted badminton and squash for the Games. The stadium for badminton will have five match courts and three warm-up courts, and the stadium for squash will have 11 singles courts convertible to five doubles courts. 2014 Thomas & Uber Cup The 2014 Thomas & Uber Cup was held on 18–25 May 2014 at the Siri Fort Sports Complex, New Delhi. Sho Sasaki
is a Japanese retired badminton player from Tonami Transportation badminton team. He competed at the 2012 London and 2016 Rio Olympics. He also competed in four Asian Games from 2002 to 2014. Career In 2007 he won the Japanese National Championships in men's singles, and 7 international tournaments: the Bahrain Satellite Badminton Tournament, the Banuinvest International Championships, the Osaka International Challenge, the Israel International, the Mauritius International, the Victorian International and the Italian International. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he reached the quarter-finals of the men's singles, losing to Lin Dan. In 2016, he did not advance to the knock-out stage after placing second in the group stage. Yong Zhao Ashton Chen
Ashton Chen or Chen Yong Zhao (; born 9 September 1989) is a Singaporean retired badminton player and a former national champion. Career Chen was part of the South East Asian Games men's team that won silver medal in the 2007 edition and bronze medals in the 2009, 2011 editions. In 2012, he won the men's singles title at the Singaporean National Badminton Championships. At the BWF event tournaments, he has won the men's singles title at the 2007 Waikato and 2011 Smiling Fish Thailand International tournament, and in the men's doubles, he won the 2011 Maldives International tournament. Chen quits the national team on 11 April 2014 after playing his final game for Singapore in the Djarum Superliga 2014 tournament. Personal life Chen pleaded guilty for having sexual contact with a young 13-year-old girl and was sentenced to 28 months in jail. Vladimir Ivanov (badminton)
Vladimir Alexandrovich Ivanov (russian: Владимир Александрович Иванов; born 3 July 1987) is a Russian badminton player. He was the champion at the 2014 and 2021 European Championships, and also the 2016 All England Open partnering with Ivan Sozonov. Wang Zhengming
Wang Zhengming (born 16 February 1990) is a Chinese badminton player from Guangzhou, Guangdong. He was the boys' singles gold medalists at the 2008 Asian and World Junior Championships.
