2012 FIA Formula Two Championship Season
The 2012 FIA Formula Two Championship was the fourth and final season and the last of the FIA Formula Two Championship. The season started on 14 April at Silverstone and finished on 30 September at Monza. The 2012 calendar saw the addition of two new races. In the opening round at Silverstone, the first pole of the season was claimed by Mathéo Tuscher, the youngest driver to have taken part in the series. Tuscher was overtaken by Christopher Zanella on the first lap of the opening race; Zanella was later joined by Mihai Marinescu and Luciano Bacheta out front, with Bacheta eventually prevailing over Zanella with series debutant Alex Fontana in third. Marinescu claimed pole position for the second race, but could not stop Bacheta taking his second win of the weekend; Fontana again completed the podium, behind Marinescu. FIA Formula Two Championship (established In 2009)
The FIA Formula 2 Championship is a second-tier single-seater championship organised by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). Held on racing circuits, the championship was introduced in 2017, following the rebranding of the long-term Formula One feeder series GP2. The series' original founders were Flavio Briatore and current managing director Bruno Michel. Designed to make racing relatively affordable for the teams and to make it an ideal training ground for life in Formula One, Formula 2 has made it mandatory for all of the teams to use the same chassis, engine and tyre supplier so that true driver ability is reflected. Formula 2 mainly races on European circuits, but has appearances at other international race tracks as well such as the Bahrain International Circuit in Bahrain, the Jeddah Corniche Circuit in Saudi Arabia and the Yas Marina Circuit in the United Arab Emirates. 2011 Auto GP Season
The 2011 Auto GP Series was the second year of the Auto GP, and the thirteenth season of the former Euroseries 3000. The championship began on 14 May at Monza and finished on 4 September at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia, after seven double-header rounds. The series became part of the World Touring Car Championship meetings and received Eurosport coverage. The series also adopted the Formula One points system for the first race of the weekend, with a consequent change in the lower points-awarding second race. The season champion and the top driver under 21 years of age Kevin Ceccon received a GP2 Series test. Ombra Racing driver Kevin Ceccon claimed the championship title, taking just one victory on Hungaroring with four other podium placings. Richard Gonda
Richard Gonda (born 14 March 1994, in Banská Bystrica) is a professional racing driver from Slovakia. Career Karting Gonda began karting in 2003 and raced primarily in his native Slovakia for the majority of his career, working his way up from the junior ranks with the seven national titles. CEZ Championship E2-2000 and Formula Renault In 2010, Gonda graduated to single-seaters, racing in the Central European Zone Championship E2-2000 series. He finished sixth with 37 points. He also completed in three rounds of the Formula Renault 2.0 Northern European Cup FR-2000 Class with Sophidea team and in Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 round at Silverstone Circuit with Krenek Motorsport. Harald Schlegelmilch
Haralds Šlēgelmilhs, known internationally as Harald Schlegelmilch (born December 6, 1987) is a Latvian racing driver. Career He started racing at the age of 8. He raced in karting championships for seven years. In 2003, Harald participated in Formula BMW testing and in 2004 he drove in the Austrian- Swiss Formula BMW championship. Simultaneously, he was a driver in Formula Renault 2000 Scandinavia. The results were high, as the young driver became the Austrian-Swiss champion and was the best Rookie of F-Renault 2000. He continued with German Formula BMW in 2005. Schlegelmilch was good enough to promote in German Formula Three, scoring a few wins. Markus Pommer
Markus Pommer (; born 27 January 1991) is a German racing driver. Career Born in Heilbronn, Pommer began his racing career in karting 1999. He remained in karting until 2006. Amongst others he won 2004 the ''Southern German ADAC Kart Cup – ICA Junior''. 2007 he began his formula racing career. He competed in the Formula BMW ADAC for Mücke Motorsport. He concluded the season behind his teammates Philipp Eng and Kevin Mirocha on the tenth position in the championship. Kevin Mirocha (born 7 October 1991 in Hamm, Germany) is a Polish-German racing driver. Early life During childhood, Mirocha raced karts in Koszalin, Poland. Career Formula BMW Despite beginning his karting career in 2001, 2007 saw his debut in the Formula BMW ADAC championship with ADAC Berlin-Brandenburg. Mirocha finished 8th in the championship and third in the Rookie Cup with one podium at EuroSpeedway Lausitz. Samuele Buttarelli (born 2 May 1992 in Genoa) is a professional racing driver from Italy. Career Master Junior Formula Buttarelli began his single–seater career in the Spanish–based Master Junior Formula in 2007. He competed in just three of the 21 races and was subsequently classified in 23rd place. Axcil Jefferies
Axcil Ramar Jefferies (born 14 April 1994) is a professional racing driver and senior race instructor at Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi. He currently holds the Nürburgring Nordschleife lap record in the GT3-class with a time of 7:50.370 which he set in a Konrad Motorsport Lamborghini Huracán GT3. Daniel McKenzie (born 24 October 1988 in Reading, Berkshire) is a British professional racing driver from England. Career Early career Like most young drivers, McKenzie began his career in karting, racing in the Junior Rotax class before making his car racing debut in the Radical SR4 Biduro Championship in 2005, where he finished in fourth place.
