2011 Ole Miss Rebels Football Team
The 2011 Ole Miss Rebels football team represented the University of Mississippi in the 2011 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The team was coached by Houston Nutt, who was in his fourth season. The Rebels played their home games at Vaught–Hemingway Stadium in Oxford, Mississippi, and competed in the Western Division of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). They finished the season 2–10, 0–8 in SEC play to finish in last place in the Western Division. On November 7, Nutt resigned as head coach effective at the end of the season. On February 11, 2019, Ole Miss announced the vacation of all wins in the years 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2016. In 2013, all wins except the Music City Bowl were vacated. Houston Nutt
Houston Dale Nutt Jr. (born October 14, 1957) is a former American football player and coach. He currently works for CBS Sports as a college football studio analyst. Previously, he served as the head football coach at Murray State University (1993–1996), Boise State University (1997), the University of Arkansas (1998–2007), and University of Mississippi (2008–2011). Nutt's all-time career winning percentage is just under 59 percent. The Arkansas Razorbacks football program represents the University of Arkansas in the sport of American football. James Shibest
James Shibest (born October 31, 1964) is an American football coach and former player. He previously served as the Special Teams Coordinator and Tight end coach at Virginia Tech. From 1996 to 1999, he was head coach at Butler Community College, where he led the Grizzlies to two NJCAA National Championships. For most of his career, Shibest has been a Special Teams coach. Coaching career Shibest began his coaching career as an offensive graduate assistant working with the running backs and wide receivers at Oklahoma State for the 1990 and 1991 football seasons. The Southern Miss Golden Eagles and Lady Eagles (also known as Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles and Lady Eagles) are the intercollegiate athletics teams that represent the University of Southern Mississippi (USM), located in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Mike Markuson
Mike Markuson (born June 15, 1961) is an American gridiron football coach. He was formerly the offensive line coach for Jackson State and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League (CFL). Markuson was the offensive line coach at the University of Wisconsin–Madison from January to September 9, 2012. Education Markuson is a 1979 graduate of Farmington Senior High School in Farmington, Minnesota. He earned his B.A. in psychology at Hamline University in 1983, and earned his M.S. in athletic administration at South Dakota State University in 1986.
