Morhad Amdouni (born 21 June 1988) is a French middle- and long-distance runner. He won the gold medal in the 10,000 metres and bronze for the 5000 metres at the 2018 European Athletics Championships. Amdouni was the European under-20 champion in track (5000 m) and cross country running in 2007. He is a two-time French national champion. The 5000 metres or 5000-metre run is a common long-distance running event in track and field, approximately equivalent to or . It is one of the track events in the Olympic Games and the World Championships in Athletics, run over laps of a standard track. The same distance in road running is called a 5K run; referring to the distance in metres rather than kilometres serves to disambiguate the two events. 1500 Metres
The 1500 metres or 1,500-metre run (typically pronounced 'fifteen-hundred metres') is the foremost middle distance track event in athletics. The distance has been contested at the Summer Olympics since 1896 and the World Championships in Athletics since 1983. It is equivalent to 1.5 kilometers or approximately miles. The event is closely associated with its slightly longer cousin, the mile race, from which it derives its nickname "the metric mile". The demands of the race are similar to that of the 800 metres, but with a slightly higher emphasis on aerobic endurance and a slightly lower sprint speed requirement. Adam Piotr Kszczot (pronounced ; born 2 September 1989) is a retired Polish middle-distance runner, who specialized in the 800 metres. His achievements include a gold medal at the 2018 World Indoor Championships as well as silver medals at the 2014 World Indoor Championships, 2015 and 2017 World Championships in addition to multiple medals on European level. He twice competed at the Olympic Games, in 2012 and 2016, narrowly missing the final on both occasions. Kszczot won 13 individual Polish titles (in- and outdoors, including two 1500 metres titles).
