French Television
Television in France was introduced in 1931, when the first experimental broadcasts began. Colour television was introduced in October 1967 on La Deuxième Chaîne. Digital terrestrial television The digital terrestrial television platform was launched on 31 March 2005 after a short testing period. Like Freeview in the UK, it provides many new channels, as well as the current terrestrial television stations. Like the rest of Europe, France uses the DVB-T transmission technology. The 13 first digital free channels were launched on 31 March 2005. In October, 4 additional free channels were added: the 24h news channels BFM TV and I-Télé, the music and entertainment youth channel Europe 2 TV, and the free children channel Gulli, joint-venture between Lagardère Active and France Télévisions. Jenifer Bartoli
Jenifer Yaël Juliette Dadouche-Bartoli (born 15 November 1982), known by the mononym Jenifer, is a French singer. Since winning the first season of ''Star Academy France'' in 2002, she has had a number of hit singles on the French, Belgian and Swiss charts. Biography Jenifer Bartoli was raised with her younger brother Jonathan, by her mother and father, Michel Dadouche and Christine Bartoli. Her mother is part Corsican-Italian and part Belgian; her father is a Jewish Algerian. She comes from a modest background. She participated in the ''Graines de star'' television broadcast in 1997, but this was a failure. Jenifer decided to go to Paris and attend the casting for the first series of ''Star Academy'' France, which went on to become a huge hit on French television. She was selected, and eventually won. Star Academy (French TV Series)
''Star Academy'' is a French reality television. It was produced by the Dutch company Endemol. It consists of a contest of young singers. It spawned an equally successful show in Canada called '' Star Académie''. It was broadcast on TF1 (2001–2008 and 2022) and NRJ 12 (2012). At the end of each season, selected contestants would go on tour around France, Morocco, Switzerland, Belgium, Tunisia, and other French-speaking countries. The contestants stay in the Dammarie-lès-Lys's Vives-Eaux castle. Loft Story (France)
''Loft Story'' was a French reality show, and it is the first French adaptation of '' Big Brother'' franchise. The show generally considered is the first of its kind in France. ''Loft Story'' presented by Benjamin Castaldi and broadcast on M6 from 26 April 2001 to 5 July 2001 for the first season and from 11 April 2002 to 4 July 2002 for the second season. The French title of the show is a play-on-words on ''loft'' because the contestants are "locked up" in a loft during their adventure, and ''Love Story''. The initial ''Loft Story'' inspired the creation of a similar show of the same name in Quebec. The famous eye logo is used by both ''Loft Story'' versions. It evokes the voyeuristic eye of the television viewer as she or he watches the ''Lofteurs'' live in front of the cameras. Nolwenn Leroy
Nolwenn Le Magueresse (; born 28 September 1982), known by her stage name Nolwenn Leroy (), is a French singer-songwriter, musician and actress. Originally classically trained (violin and opera singing), she rose to fame after winning the second season of the French television music competition '' Star Academy'' in 2002. She has since recorded eight studio albums and scored two number one singles, " Cassé" and "Nolwenn Ohwo!", on the French charts. In 2012, her album '' Bretonne'' was certified two times diamond for sales exceeding one million copies. Leroy is fluent in English, having spent a year in the US as an exchange student. She sings in many languages, including French, Breton, English and Irish. Leroy has received numerous awards and nominations. ''Présence protestante'' is a France 2 religious programme that presents Protestant Christianity. It has been produced since the 1950s broadcast every Sunday morning since October 9, 1955. History Présence protestante debuted on October 2, 1955 which was presented by Marcel Gosselin, under the leadership of Marc Boegner who was the president of the Protestant Federation of France. 30 millions d'amis (English: "30 million friends") is a French television program, a French monthly magazine with its posters, and a French foundation: the Fondation 30 Millions d'Amis. All three focus on pets, especially cats, dogs, horses, ferrets, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, hamsters, mice, canaries, parakeets, parrots, terrarium reptiles, goldfish, aquarium fish, and other exotic pets, but also wild animals like for example, bonobos and cheetahs. Television program The first episode of the program, initiative of the French journalist Jean-Pierre Hutin, who was worried about the fate of pets, was broadcast on 6 January 1976 on TF1. Jacques Rouland (13 November 1929 – 14 June 2002) was a French radio and television broadcaster. Biography In 1964 created and presented the hidden camera show La Caméra invisible where he made practical jokes on unsuspecting members of the public. the show ended in 1970. After the show ended Rouland created another popular French television show called Mardi Cinéma. Jacques Rouland died on June 14, following a cancer a battle with cancer.
