The year 2024 was the 31st year in the history of the K-1, a global kickboxing promotion. The year started with K-1 World MAX 2024 Super Welterweight Final 16. List of events K-1 World MAX 2024 - World Tournament Opening Round ''K-1 World MAX 2024 - World Tournament Opening Round'' is a kickboxing event that will be held by K-1 on March 20, 2024, at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan. Daizo Sasaki
Daizo Sasaki (born 20 November 1990) is a Japanese kickboxer, currently competing in the super lightweight divisions of Krush and K-1. He is the former Krush Super Lightweight champion, the former Krush Lightweight champion, the 2018 K-1 Super Lightweight Grand Prix finalist and a one-time K-1 World GP Super Lightweight title challenger. As of June 2022, Sasaki is the #6 ranked featherweight in the world according to Combat Press. He's been continuously ranked in the featherweight top ten since February 2021. Rui Okubo
is a Japanese kickboxer. He is the former Krush Flyweight (-51kg) champion and the 2024 K-1 Super bantamweight (-55 kg) World Tournament runner-up. As of April 2024 he was the 10th ranked strawweight (-54 kg) kickboxer in the world by Combat Press. Biography and career Early career As an amateur Okubo amassed a record of 145 wins, 18 losses, 3 draws and captured over 40 titles. During 2021, his last year of competition before turning professional, Okubo won the two most prestigious titles of Japanese amateur kickboxing, the Japan Cup in March and the K-1 Koshien tournament in August. He won four fights in one day during both tournaments. His Koshien success secured him a professional debut with the K-1 promotion. Abiral Ghimire
Abiral Ghimire (Nepali:अबिरल घिमिरे, born 9 September 1999) also known as Abiral Himalayan Cheetah (アビラル・ヒマラヤンチーター) is a Nepalese kickboxer, currently fighting in the super-welterweight division of K-1. A professional competitor since 2017, he is the current HEAT Middleweight champion. Background Abhiral Ghimire is originally from Gurjudhara in the Chandragiri Municipality. Mohammed Boutasaa
Mohammed Boutasaa (Berber : ⵎⵓⵃⴰⵎⴻⴷ ⴱⵓⵜⴰⵙⴰⵄ), born 4 August 1999, is a Dutch-Moroccan kickboxer, currently competing in the featherweight division. Thanakorn Pawachart (; born July 28, 1989), known professionally as Jomthong Chuwattana (), is a Thai professional Muay Thai fighter, kickboxer, and former boxer. Darryl Verdonk
Darryl Verdonk (born 28 March 1996) is a Dutch kickboxer. He is the former Enfusion Lightweight Champion and a K-1 World MAX veteran. Career Verdonk faced Khali Kutukcu at Enfusion Talents 79 on February 29, 2020. He won the fight by decision. On September 24, 2022, Verdonk faced Younes Smaili for the vacant Enfusion -70 kg title at Enfusion 112 in Eindhoven. Shintaro Matsukura
Shintaro Matsukura is a Japanese kickboxer fighting out of Tokyo, Japan. He is the current WPMF World Super Middleweight champion. Career On March 2, 2008 Matsukura participated to the K-1 tryouts, he passed every steps and was selected by the officials including K-1 youth development director Kensaku Maeda. is a Japanese kickboxer, currently competing in the atomweight division of K-1, where she is the current K-1 Women's Atomweight Champion.
