2023 PDC Players Championship Series
The 2023 PDC Players Championship series consisted of 30 darts tournaments on the 2023 PDC Pro Tour. The Top 64 on the Players Championship Order of Merit qualified for the 2023 Players Championship Finals. Gerwyn Price topped the Players Championship Order of Merit, with Gary Anderson, Damon Heta and Dave Chisnall completing the top four. 2023 PDC Players Championship Order of Merit: Prize money The prize money for the Players Championship events remained at 2022 levels, with each event having a prize fund of £100,000. This is how the prize money was divided: February Players Championship 1 Players Championship 1 was contested on Saturday 11 February 2023 at the Barnsley Metrodome. 2023 PDC Pro Tour
The 2023 PDC Pro Tour was a series of non-televised darts tournaments organised by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). Players Championships and European Tour events are the events that make up the Pro Tour. There were thirty Players Championship events and thirteen PDC European Tour events, as well as 24 events for the Challenge and Development Tours, and the Women's Series. Prize money On 21 November 2022, it was announced that the prize money for the Women's Series will be doubled in 2023. The following day, it was announced that the prize money for Challenge/Development Tour events would also increase, with the prize fund going up from £10,000 to £15,000 per event. On 15 February 2023, it was announced that the prize money for the PDC European Tour events was to increase by 25% with prize funds increasing from £140,000 to £175,000 per event. Richard Veenstra
Richard Veenstra (born 10 July 1981) is a Dutch professional darts player who competes in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. Veenstra previously played in British Darts Organisation (BDO) tournaments, where he won the 2019 Dutch Open, and was the runner-up at the 2019 BDO World Trophy and 2018 Finder Darts Masters. Veenstra obtained a PDC Tour Card in 2023, and reached the last 32 in his PDC World Championship debut in 2024. He has reached four quarter-finals in the PDC's ranking Players Championship events. Ricardo Pietreczko (born 20 October 1994) is a German professional darts player. Nicknamed "Pikachu" after the character from ''Pokémon'', he competes in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events, where he is currently ranked world number twenty-nine. Robert Cross (born 21 September 1990) is an English professional darts player who competes in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events, where he is currently ranked world number eight; he reached a peak ranking of world number two in 2018 and 2019.
