2020 2nd Spielberg Formula 2 Round
The 2020 2nd Red Bull Ring FIA Formula 2 round was a pair of motor races for Formula 2 cars that took place on 11 and 12 July 2020 at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, in Austria as part of the FIA Formula 2 Championship. It was the second round of the 2020 FIA Formula 2 Championship and ran in support of the 2020 Styrian Grand Prix. The Red Bull Ring is a motorsport race track in Spielberg, Austria, Spielberg, Styria, Austria. The race circuit was founded as Österreichring (translation: Austrian Circuit) and hosted the Austrian Grand Prix for 18 consecutive years, from to . It was later shortened, rebuilt and renamed the A1-Ring (A Eins-Ring), and it hosted the Austrian Grand Prix again from to . When Formula One outgrew the circuit, a plan was drawn up to extend the layout. Parts of the circuit, including the pits and main grandstand, were demolished, but construction work was stopped and the circuit remained unusable for several years before it was purchased by Red Bull's Dietrich Mateschitz and rebuilt. Campos Racing is a Spanish motor racing team, founded by former Formula One driver Adrián Campos. The team has been successful in Formula Three and the GP2 Series.
