2018–19 Grimsby Town F.C. Season
The 2018–19 season is Grimsby Town's 141st season of existence and their third consecutive season in League Two. Along with competing in League Two, the club will also participate in the FA Cup, EFL Cup and EFL Trophy. The season covers the period from 1 July 2018 to 30 June 2019. Competitions Friendlies The club have confirmed the first four pre-season friendlies will be against Cleethorpes Town, Sunderland, York City and Doncaster Rovers. The annual pre-season fixture versus Cleethorpes Town will take place at the new home ground of their opponents, The Linden Club, on Saturday 7 July. The Mariners will then play host to EFL League One side Sunderland on Tuesday 17 July before travelling to York City on Saturday 21 July. Grimsby Town F
Grimsby or Great Grimsby is a port town in Lincolnshire, England with a population of 86,138 (as of 2021). It is located near the mouth on the south bank of the Humber that flows to the North Sea. Grimsby adjoins the town of Cleethorpes directly to the south-east forming a conurbation. It is the administrative centre of the borough of North East Lincolnshire, which alongside North Lincolnshire is officially part of the Yorkshire and the Humber region. Grimsby is north-east of Lincoln, (via the Humber Bridge) south-east of Hull, and east of Doncaster. Gigg Lane
Gigg Lane is a football ground in Bury, Greater Manchester, England, built for Bury F.C. in 1885. The first match was played on 12 September 1885 between Bury and a team from Wigan. One of the world's oldest professional football stadiums, Gigg Lane was in continuous use by Bury until August 2019 when the club was expelled from the English Football League. The ground did not host competitive men's football between 4 May 2019, when Bury hosted Port Vale, and 29 July 2023. In November 2020, Bury F.C. was placed in administration and the ground was later put up for sale by the administrator. In February 2022, the Est.1885 fans' group completed a deal to purchase the entire property. They also acquired the trading name and memorabilia of Bury F.C. Rodney Parade
Rodney Parade is a stadium in the city of Newport, South Wales. It is located on the east bank of the River Usk in Newport city centre. The ground is on Rodney Road, a short walk from the city's central bus and railway stations via Newport Bridge or Newport City footbridge. There is no spectator car park at the ground but a number of multi-storey car parks are nearby. Rodney Parade is the home ground of Dragons RFC, one of the four Welsh regional rugby union teams. Moss Rose, known as The Leasing.com Stadium for sponsorship reasons, is a football stadium in Macclesfield, Cheshire, England, which is the home ground of Macclesfield F.C., and the former home of Macclesfield Town F.C., a club wound up in September 2020. The Northolme (known as the KAL Group Stadium for sponsorship purposes) is a association football, football ground in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, England. Louis Gabriel Robles (born 11 September 1996) is an English professional association football, footballer who plays as a Winger (association football), winger for Cymru Premier club Bala Town F.C., Bala Town. Jakob Andrew Hessenthaler (born 20 April 1994) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for club Ebbsfleet United. He initially came through the youth academy at Chelsea, before later turning professional with Gillingham. Harry Louis Clifton (born 12 June 1998) is a professional footballer who plays as a midfielder and winger for club Doncaster Rovers. He is a former Wales under-21 international. Club career Grimsby Town Clifton joined Grimsby Town as an under-10 and progressed through the club's youth system. Clifton signed his first professional contract in July 2015. Jonathan James Hooper (born 9 October 1993) is an English footballer who last played as a forward for club Blyth Spartans. He graduated through the Newcastle United Academy and played on loan at Darlington 1883 and Workington.
