2018 Ohio Senate Election
The 2018 Ohio Senate election was held on November 6, 2018, with the primary election held on May 8, 2018. Ohio voters elected state senators in the 17 odd-numbered Ohio Senate districts. State senators elected in 2018 were eligible to serve a four-year term beginning January 2019 and ending December 2022. These elections coincided with elections for Ohio governor, the Ohio House, the U.S. House of Representatives, the U.S. Senate, and other statewide offices. Despite a moderate statewide swing that allowed the Democrats to win the popular vote, the Republicans retained their supermajority of 24 seats in the Senate, compared to the Democrats' nine seats. Larry Obhof
Larry J. Obhof (born November 26, 1977) is an American attorney and politician, who served as a member of the Ohio Senate from 2011 to 2020. He also served as the President of the Senate from 2017 to 2020. Early life and education Larry Obhof was born on November 26, 1977, in Ashtabula, Ohio. Kristopher W. Jordan (February 10, 1977 – February 25, 2023) was an American politician in the Republican Party. Hearcel F. Craig (born July 1, 1949) is an American politician serving as the Senator for the 15th District of the Ohio State Senate. Craig formerly served in the United States Army and then had a career with the Ohio Department of Youth Services. He then went on to help develop City Year in Columbus. Charleta B. Tavares is a former member of the Ohio Senate. She represented the 15th District from 2011 to 2018.
