Endel Lippmaa
Endel Lippmaa (15 September 1930 – 30 July 2015) was an Estonian scientist, academician, politician, and twice government minister in 1990–1991 and 1995–1996. Lippmaa was founder and chairman of the Science Council of the National Institute of Chemical Physics and Biophysics. He was also head chairman and professor of chemical physics, physical chemistry, physics, and mathematics at the Estonian Academy of Sciences and was highly regarded in his worinto solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) In 1999, he was voted one of the 100 great Estonians of the 20th century. Arved Viirlaid
Arved Viirlaid (April 11, 1922 – June 21, 2015) was an Estonian-Canadian writer. Viirlaid was born in Padise, Harju County, Estonia. Arved Viirlaid fought in the Estonian regiment in Finland during the Second World War, returning to Estonia in 1944. He escaped from Soviet-occupied Estonia, settling first in the United Kingdom, and then moving to Canada in 1953. Viirlaid published 9 novels and several collections of poetry. His first novel, ''Tormiaasta'' (The Year of Storms), was published in 1949. In 1952, he published (Graves Without Crosses), which was translated from Estonian into seven other languages. The English translation appeared in 1972, with a preface by John Diefenbaker. His 1965 novel, ''Sadu jõkke'' (Rain for the River) has also been translated into English. Vladimir-Georg Karassev-Orgusaar (born Vladimir-Georg-Julian Orgusaar, from 1953 to 1976 Vladimir Karassev; 14 December 1931 – 27 January 2015) was an Estonian film director. Georg Karassev-Orgusaar was born in Tallinn. He studied history and literature at the National Research Tomsk State University, Tomsk University and cinematography at the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography, Moscow All-Union State Institute of Cinematography. In the Estonian SSR, he produced a number of documentary films. His trilogy on Soviet history consists of films "Precursor" (Estonian: "Eelkäija", 1967) on Viktor Kingissepp, "Solstice" ("Pööripäev", 1968) on Soviet occupation of Estonia, June 1940 'revolution' in Estonia, a central myth of Soviet mythology in Estonia, and "Commander" ("Väejuht", 1968) on August Kork, an Estonian Bolshevik military leader and victim of 1937 Stalinist purges. Conservative People's Party Of Estonia
The Conservative People's Party of Estonia (, EKRE) is a Estonian nationalism, nationalist and right-wing populist political party in Estonia led by Martin Helme. It was founded in March 2012 with the merger of People's Union of Estonia and Estonian Patriotic Movement while legally remaining the same entity as the People's Union of Estonia. Its first leader, Margo Miljand, served as the chairman until 2013 when he was succeeded by Mart Helme. Its popularity remained low until late 2014, when the party began to draw supporters from the right; in the 2015 Estonian parliamentary election, it passed the electoral threshold and won seats in parliament for the first time. Since then, its support has grown, turning it into one of the largest parties in Estonia. In the 2019 Estonian parliamentary election, EKRE placed third, winning 19 seats in total.
