2002 FIFA World Cup Squads
The 2002 FIFA World Cup was the 17th edition of the FIFA World Cup, an international association football competition that serves as the championship for men's national teams. It was held in Japan and South Korea from 31 May to 30 June and was contested by 32 teams. Each national association was required to name a provisional squad of 23 players, expanded from 22 in previous tournaments, by 21 May 2002. The players' ages, caps and clubs are listed as of 31 May 2002, the opening day of the tournament. The oldest player was defender Jan Heintze of Denmark at 38 years, 293 days old; the youngest was Femi Opabunmi, a 17-year-old midfielder for Nigeria. 2002 FIFA World Cup
The 2002 FIFA World Cup, also branded as Korea/Japan 2002, was the 17th FIFA World Cup, the quadrennial Association football, football world championship for List of men's national association football teams, men's national teams organized by FIFA. Stig Tøfting
Stig Tøfting (born 14 August 1969), commonly known as Tøffe, is a former Danish professional footballer and assistant coach, who most recently was the assistant of Erik Rasmussen at AGF. Tøfting was a hard-hitting combative defensive midfielder who often made rash tackles. He started his career with AGF Aarhus, with whom he won two Danish Cups, and most notably went on to play for German clubs Hamburger SV and MSV Duisburg, as well as Bolton Wanderers in England. Jon Dahl Tomasson
Jon Dahl Tomasson (; born 29 August 1976) is a Danish football manager and former player. He is the current manager of the Sweden national team. A forward, his most notable run of football came in his first stint at Feyenoord, with whom he won the 2002 UEFA Cup, and Italian club AC Milan, with whom he won the UEFA Champions League in 2003 and reached the final in 2005. Thomas Gravesen (; born 11 March 1976) is a Danish former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Gravesen played as a professional in Denmark, Germany, England, Spain and Scotland for Vejle Boldklub, Hamburger SV, Everton, Real Madrid and Celtic. Thomas Lund Helveg (; born 24 June 1971) is a Danish former professional association football, footballer who played as a right-back. He began and ended his career with Odense Boldklub, OB in the Danish Superliga, with whom he won the 1989 List of Danish football champions, Danish championship.
