1997–98 Taça De Portugal
The 1997–98 Taça de Portugal was the 58th edition of the Portuguese football knockout tournament, organized by the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF). The 1997–98 Taça de Portugal began in September 1997. The final was played on 24 May 1998 at the Estádio Nacional. Boavista were the previous holders, having defeated Benfica 3–2 in the previous season's final. Defending champions Boavista were eliminated in the quarter finals by second division side União de Leiria. Porto defeated Braga, 3–1 in the final to win their ninth Taça de Portugal. Mário Jardel
Mário Jardel de Almeida Ribeiro (; born 18 September 1973) is a Brazilian former professional footballer who played as a forward. He was most noted for his positioning on the field and his heading ability. He was a legend for Grêmio, playing a major part in the squad that won the 1995 Copa Libertadores. With his exceptional positioning ability, he was able to become one of Europe's most prolific strikers during his time at Porto, Galatasaray, and Sporting CP, scoring 206 goals in 274 matches for those clubs. After leaving Sporting CP in 2003 at age 29, Jardel had a succession of brief and unsuccessful stints at clubs in England, Italy, Spain, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Argentina and Australia. He then played for several smaller clubs in Brazil before retiring in 2011. Kwame Ayew
Kwame Ayew (born 28 December 1973) is a Ghanaian former professional footballer who played as a striker. During nearly 20 years he played professionally in six countries, mainly in Portugal where he appeared for four teams in the 90s, amassing Primeira Liga totals of 131 games and 51 goals over the course of six seasons. Futebol Clube de Felgueiras was a Portuguese football club from Felgueiras. The club was founded on 16 August 1936 and ended in 2005 due to financial problems. Portalegre () is a municipality in Portugal. The population was 22,368, in an area of . The municipality is located by the Serra de São Mamede in the Portalegre District. Estadio António Coimbra da Mota is a multi-use stadium in Estoril, Portugal. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Primeira Liga side G.D. Estoril Praia. João Carlos Proença Filipe (born 15 December 1972), known as Fusco, is a Portuguese former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Club career Born in Lisbon, Fusco spent his entire professional career with S.C. Beira-Mar, amassing Primeira Liga totals of 54 games and one goal for the club over five seasons. He made his debut in the competition on 21 August 1998, starting and being sent off in a 2–1 away loss against S.C. Braga. On 19 June 1999, Fusco played the full 90 minutes of the final of the Taça de Portugal, helping the Aveiro side to their first and only major title after the 1–0 defeat of S.C. Campomaiorense.
