1986 All-Australian Team
The All-Australian team is an all-star team of Australian rules footballers, selected by a panel at the end of each season. It represents a complete team, including an interchange bench, of the best-performed players during the season, led by that season's premiership coach. Despite its nature, the All-Australian team is only ceremonial. Though the AFL played an All-Star match in 2020, it was the first in 12 years, and the difference in skill level between the All-Australian team and the nearest international competitor is currently too large for any contest to be competitive. Despite this, some of these players have represented Australia in AFL Academy junior teams up to the age of 18, as more than two-thirds of all AFL Academy representatives have gone on to play at senior AFL level. Cameron Ling
Cameron Ling (born 27 February 1981) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Geelong Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). A tagger at and , Ling is a premiership-winning captain at the club. He is now a commentator on AFL football for the Seven Network and a special comments commentator on AFL football for ABC Grandstand. He is also a member of the selection panel for the AFL All-Australian team and the AFL Rising Star Award. Touk Miller (, rhymes with "Luke"; born 22 February 1996) is a professional Australian rules footballer playing for the Gold Coast Suns in the Australian Football League (AFL). Miller plays as a midfielder and was drafted to the Suns as the 29th overall pick in the 2014 AFL draft. Adam Saad (born 23 July 1994) is an Australian rules footballer currently playing for the Carlton Football Club in the Australian Football League. He previously played for the Gold Coast Suns and the Essendon Football Club. Early career As a junior, Saad first played for West Coburg Football Club in the Essendon District Football League. Sam Taylor (Australian Footballer)
Sam Taylor (born 5 May 1999) is a professional Australian rules footballer playing for the Greater Western Sydney Giants in the Australian Football League (AFL). He is a tall defender. Taylor made his debut in round 11 of the 2018 season against the Adelaide Crows at Adelaide Oval. Originally from Bullsbrook, Western Australia, Taylor's parents are Susan and Graham. Jack Sinclair (footballer)
Jack Sinclair (born 12 February 1995) is an Australian rules footballer who plays for the St Kilda Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Early life Sinclair grew up supporting Carlton due to his father, but his maternal grandfather played for St. Kilda, a team he would ultimately join in 2015. Sinclair attended Scotch College with future St Kilda teammate Jack Billings. He grew up in the Melbourne suburbs of Kew East and Balwyn. Sinclair was overlooked in his draft year 2013. Brayden Maynard (born 20 September 1996) is an Australian rules footballer who currently plays for the Collingwood Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). State football Maynard played junior football with the Hampton Rovers in the Victorian Amateur Football Association (VAFA). Maynard represented Sandringham Dragons in the TAC Cup. Steven May (born 10 January 1992) be an Australian rules footballer playing for the Melbourne Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Tom Stewart (born 15 March 1993) is a professional Australian rules footballer playing for the Geelong Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). AFL National Under 16 Championships
Australian rules football is the most watched and attended sport and the second most participated code of football in Australia. Since originating in Victoria in 1858 and spreading elsewhere from 1866, it has been played continuously in every Australian state since 1903 plus the two major territories since 1916. The AFL Under-19 Championships (for sponsorship reasons, the NAB AFL Under-19 Championships) is an annual Australian national underage representative championship in Australian rules football tournament. It is seen as one of the main pathways towards being drafted into a team in the fully professional Australian Football League (AFL). The National Championships grew out of the Teal Cup which began in 1953 as a junior representative competition between the Australian states of Queensland and New South Wales. It was rebranded in 1976 to reflect its expansion to include teams from each Australian state and mainland territory, rotated between host cities. Jude Bolton (born 15 March 1980) is a former professional Australian rules football player who played for the Sydney Swans in the Australian Football League (AFL) between 1999 and 2013. Early life Growing up, he supported the St Kilda Football Club. He was recruited from and played his junior football at St Bernard's Football Club in Essendon.
