Jack Londrigan
John William Londrigan (3 February 1890 – 22 August 1937) was an Australian rules football player from South Australia. Sturt (1907–1910) Initially Londrigan played for the Sturt Football Club but after strong rumours that University would soon be admitted to the SAFL, thereby eliminating the bye, he left the club. Adelaide University (1911) However, after it became apparent that University would not be admitted to the SAFL he left to join the Port Adelaide Football Club in 1912. Port Adelaide (1912–1914) Impressing in his first year he was appointed captain in 1912. Subsequently, he was captain of the 1913 and 1914 Port Adelaide Football Club side who were one of the sports greatest ever teams. He is the only player to twice captain victorious Champions of Australia teams. His career ended with the onset of World War I. Adelaide Oval is a sports ground in Adelaide, South Australia, located in the parklands between the city centre and North Adelaide. Alf Baud
Alfred Miller Baud (20 September 1892 – 5 December 1986) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Carlton in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Baud was born in Nagambie and went to school there. After leaving school, he went to Bendigo for his first job in the Post Office and later moved to Melbourne. Baud first played with Carlton with 1913 and during his three-season career was a member of two premiership sides. The first came in 1914 when he played on the wing in the club's Grand Final victory and the other came the following season. He was captain in the 1915 Grand Final due to Billy Dick being suspended and started the game at half back. Soon after he joined the military, enlisting with the 5th Division as a signaller. After serving in Egypt and France, he was seriously wounded with a shrapnel injury to the head at Anzac Ridge in 1917, leaving him with reduced sight. Matthew Stanley McKenzie (17 May 1890 – 8 December 1915) was an Australian first-class cricketer and Australian rules footballer. Family The son of Henry McKenzie (1850–1929), and Jane Danks McKenzie, née Young, Matthew Stanley McKenzie was born in Launceston, Tasmania on 17 May 1890. His brother, George Frank McKenzie (1892-), was awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal in 1915. Education He was educated at Scotch College, Launceston. Cricket A right-handed opening batsman, he played five first-class matches for Tasmania between 1910 and 1913. Football McKenzie was also an accomplished footballer, and he represented Tasmania at the 1911 Adelaide Carnival. The Sturt Football Club, nicknamed The Double Blues, is a semi-professional Australian rules football club based in the suburb of Unley, South Australia, which plays in the South Australian National Football League.
