Wales ( cy, Cymru ) is a country that is part of the United Kingdom. Arthur Walsh, 2nd Baron Ormathwaite
Arthur Walsh, 2nd Baron Ormathwaite (14 April 1827 – 27 March 1920) was a British Conservative Party politician, the son of John Walsh, 1st Baron Ormathwaite. He was elected as a member of parliament (MP) for Leominster in 1865, resigning in 1868 by becoming Steward of the Manor of Northstead. This allowed him to stand for Radnorshire and replace his father in the by-election that ensued after the latter was elevated to the peerage. William Edwardes, 4th Baron Kensington
William Edwardes, 4th Baron Kensington PC (11 May 1835 – 7 October 1896), also 1st Baron Kensington in the Peerage of the United Kingdom, styled The Honourable William Edwardes between 1852 and 1872, was a British landowner and Liberal politician. He notably served as Comptroller of the Household from 1880 to 1885 and as Captain of the Yeomen of the Guard from 1892 to 1895. Background Edwardes was the eldest son of Captain William Edwardes, 3rd Baron Kensington, by his wife Laura Jane Ellison, daughter of Cuthbert Ellison, of Hebburn Hall, Hebburn, County Durham. Political career Edwardes was elected to the House of Commons for Haverfordwest in 1868, a seat he held until 1885. Edward Herbert, 3rd Earl Of Powis
Edward James Herbert, 3rd Earl of Powis (5 November 1818 – 7 May 1891), styled Viscount Clive between 1839 and 1848, was a British peer and politician. Background Powis was born at The Angel Hotel, Pershore, Worcestershire, the eldest son of Edward Herbert, 2nd Earl of Powis, and Lady Lucy, daughter of James Graham, 3rd Duke of Montrose. Sir Percy Egerton Herbert was his younger brother and also a Member of Parliament. Education He was educated at Eton College and St John's College, Cambridge, where he was president of the University Pitt Club, and he graduated as MA in 1840 and LLD in 1848. He was also awarded an honorary degree as DCL by Oxford University. Henry Somerset, 8th Duke Of Beaufort
Henry Charles FitzRoy Somerset, 8th Duke of Beaufort KG, PC, DL (1 February 1824 – 30 April 1899), styled Earl of Glamorgan until 1835 and Marquess of Worcester from 1835 to 1853, was a British peer, soldier, and Conservative Party politician. He served as Master of the Horse between 1858 and 1859 and again between 1866 and 1868. Background and education Born in Paris, he was the only son of Henry Somerset, 7th Duke of Beaufort by his second wife Emily Frances, daughter of Charles Culling Smith and his wife Lady Anne Wellesley. He was educated at Eton College. Military career Beaufort was commissioned a Cornet and Sublieutenant in the 1st Life Guards on 17 August 1841. From 1842 to 1852, he was an aide-de-camp to the Duke of Wellington, then Commander-in-Chief of the Forces (Beaufort's father had also been Wellington's aide-de-camp during the Peninsular War). This is a list of people who served as Lord Lieutenant of Monmouthshire. Before the English Civil War, the lieutenancy of Monmouthshire was held by the Lord Lieutenant of Wales, except for the period from 1602 to 1629, when it formed a separate lieutenancy in conjunction with Glamorgan. After the English Restoration in 1660, it was again held by the Lord Lieutenant of Wales from 1672 until 1694, when the twelve central Welsh lieutenancies were divided. Edward Mostyn Lloyd-Mostyn, 2nd Baron Mostyn (13 January 1795 – 17 March 1884), was a British peer and Member of Parliament (MP). Mostyn was the son of Edward Lloyd, 1st Baron Mostyn. Born Edward Lloyd, assumed by Royal licence the additional surname of Mostyn in 1831. In 1831 he was elected to the House of Commons for Flintshire, a seat he held from 1831 to 1837, from 1841 to 1842 and from 1847 to 1850. He also represented Lichfield from 1846 to 1847.
