''118'' also known as (要要发) ran for 255 episodes and was produced by Mediacorp Channel 8. It stars Chew Chor Meng, Pan Lingling, Dennis Chew, Ya Hui, Xu Bin and Somaline Ang as the casts of this series. The show replaced the second half of the 7.00 pm drama timeslot, airing weekdays from 20 October 2014, 7.30 pm to 8.00 pm on weekdays making the 1st long form half an hour drama airing together with news-current affairs programme Hello Singapore at 6.30pm. It is the longest running Chinese drama produced by Mediacorp. Plot Hong Daming (Chew Chor Meng) is a positive and generous man. As his coffee shop and house number are both "118", the people around him gave him the nickname of "118" (or 要要发), much to his delight. Chew Chor Meng
Chew Chor Meng (born 20 November 1968), better known as Zhou Chuming, is a Singaporean actor. He is one of the first batch of actors to receive the All-Time Favourite Artiste award with Zoe Tay & Li Nanxing. Career Chew started his career in showbiz after winning Star Search in 1990, a bi-annual nationwide talent search. Since then, he has never failed to make it to the Top 10 Most Popular Male Artistes in the Star Awards, an award ceremony for TV personalities, since its inception in 1994. Jin Yinji
Gam Ngan Gei (born 17 June 1946), better known as Jin Yinji, is a Singaporean actress of South Korean descent. She was prominently a full-time Mediacorp artiste from 1986 to 2017 but continued to film on an ad-hoc basis. Jin's contract with Mediacorp expired in February 2017. Tan Chooi Leong or better known as Wang Yuqing (, born 9 September 1961) is a Singaporean actor. Education Wang studied at Willow Avenue Secondary School. Career Prior to his acting career, Wang served out his NS days in the Aerodrome fire service.
