1999–2000 Juventus FC Season
The 1999–2000 season was Juventus Football Club's 102nd in existence and 98th consecutive season in the top flight of Italian football. Season review Juventus came close to adding to its collection of league titles, but in the end, a controversial refereeing decision denied them the title. Juventus led 1–0 at home to Parma in their penultimate match. Parma made a huge effort to equalise, and thought they had done so when Fabio Cannavaro headed the ball into the back of the net during stoppage time. However, referee Massimo De Santis controversially disallowed the goal due to a perceived foul, despite protests from the Parma players. On the last day of the season, title rivals Lazio beat Reggina by 3–0 at home, but Juventus unexpectedly ran into problems at Perugia, where heavy rainfall began with the score tied at 0–0 in half-time. Massimo De Santis
Massimo De Santis (born 8 April 1962) is an Italian former association football referee. De Santis was born in Tivoli, Lazio. In addition to being a former referee, he is also a former police constable. De Santis speaks Italian and English. His first international game was on 1 January 2000. He was an official at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece. De Santis was selected as Italy's refereeing representative at the 2006 FIFA World Cup but was barred by the Italian Football Federation due to the ''Calciopoli'' scandal in 2006. Antonio Conte
Antonio Conte (; born 31 July 1969) is an Italian professional Association football, football manager and former player who is currently the head coach of Serie A club Napoli. Gianluca Pessotto
Gianluca Pessotto (; born 11 August 1970) is an Italian former professional footballer who played as a defender or midfielder. A former Italy international, he spent the majority of his club career with Juventus, where he won several domestic and international trophies, and is now head of its youth system. He represented his country at the 1998 FIFA World Cup, and at UEFA Euro 2000, reaching the final of the latter tournament. After his retirement in 2006, Pessotto remained at Juventus as a member of the coaching staff. He is currently the Sporting Director (''Direttore Sportivo'') of the club's youth academy. Sunday Ogochukwu Oliseh (born 14 September 1974) is a Nigerian football manager and former footballer who played as a defensive midfielder. Physical yet technically gifted, he played for top European clubs including Ajax, Borussia Dortmund and Juventus. He is widely regarded as one of the best African midfielders of all time. Rónald Paolo Montero Iglesias (born 3 September 1971) is a Uruguayan football manager and former player, who played as a central defender or left-back. Montero began his career in Uruguay with Peñarol in 1990 before moving to Italian side Atalanta in 1992. Zoran "Bata" Mirković ( sr-cyrl, Зоран Бата Мирковић, ; born 21 September 1971) is a retired Serbian footballer and current manager. Ciro Ferrara (; born 11 February 1967) is an Italian former footballer and manager. Ferrara spent his playing career as a defender, initially at Napoli and later on at Juventus, winning seven total Serie A titles as well as other domestic and international trophies. The 1987–88 UEFA Cup was the 17th season of the UEFA Cup, the secondary club football competition organised by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA). Alessandro Calori
Alessandro Calori (born 29 August 1966) is an Italian football coach and former player, last in charge as head coach of Ternana. As a defender, he is mostly remembered for his lengthy spell with Udinese during the 90s, where he also served as the club's captain. Playing career Calori was born in Arezzo.
