Disney Comics is currently a label of Disney Publishing Worldwide and was a comic book publishing company operated by The Walt Disney Company from 1990 to 1993. It was connected with W. D. Publications, Inc., which was a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company that published Disney comics during that time span. W. D. ''Topolino'' (from the Italian language, Italian name for Mickey Mouse) is an Italian digest-sized comic series featuring Disney comics. The series has had a long running history, first appearing in 1932 as a comics magazine. Since 2013, it has been published by Panini Comics. Topolino ''giornale'' (1932–1949) In 1932 the editor Mario Nerbini decided to open a new weekly newspaper for kids, containing illustrated tales with Mickey Mouse. The first issue of ''Topolino'' was published on December 31, 1932: it contained Mickey's first Italian story drawn by Giove Toppi. In this story, Mickey Mouse was chased by an elephant. However, Nerbini had not correctly secured the publication rights, so when Emmanuel (Disney's representative in Italy) protested, Nerbini changed the title of the comic book with issue #3 into ''Topo Lino'' (Mouse Lino), replacing Mickey Mouse with ''Topo Lino'', another mouse. ''Baby Blues'' is an American comic strip created and produced by Rick Kirkman and Jerry Scott since January 7, 1990. Distributed by King Features Syndicate from 1995 until January 2022, and distributed by Andrews McMeel Syndication as of January 2022, the strip focuses on the MacPherson family and specifically on the raising of the three MacPherson children. When the strip debuted, the MacPherson family consisted of Darryl and Wanda and newborn Zoe. The first strip took place in the hospital room shortly after Zoe was born. Later, two more children—Hammie, the middle child and the only son, and Wren, the youngest child—were added to the family. The Donald Duck universe is a fictional shared universe which is the setting of stories involving Disney cartoon character Donald Duck, as well as Daisy Duck, Huey, Dewey, and Louie, Scrooge McDuck, and many other characters. The Duck family is a fictional family of cartoon ducks related to Disney character Donald Duck. The family is also related to the Coot, Goose, and Gander families, as well as the Scottish Clan McDuck. Besides Donald, the best-known members of the Duck family are Huey, Dewey, and Louie, Donald's triplet nephews. Members of the Duck family appear most extensively in Donald Duck comics (although some have made animated appearances). Giorgio Cavazzano
Giorgio Cavazzano (; born 19 October 1947) is an Italian cartoonist, and one of the most famous Disney comics artists in the world. Biography Giorgio Cavazzano was born 19 October 1947 in Venice, Italy. At the age of twelve, Cavazzano started to work with his cousin, the cartoonist Luciano Capitanio, helping him ink comics for the publishers Mondadori and Dardo, as well as a comic story published in the magazine Voci d’Oltremare. Still a teenager, he started his apprenticeship with the renowned Italian cartoonist Romano Scarpa, and at the age of 15, from issue #70 of ''Topolino'' (December 1962) ‑ he was Scarpa's personal inker. Jean-Richard Geurts, better known under his pseudonym Janry (born 2 October 1957), is a Belgian comics artist. With Tome he created '' Le Petit Spirou'' and made several ''Spirou et Fantasio'' albums. Philippe Vandevelde
Philippe Vandevelde, working under the pseudonym Tome (24 February 1957 – 5 October 2019), was a Belgian comics writer. He was known for collaborations with Janry on ''Spirou et Fantasio'' and '' Le Petit Spirou'', and with Luc Warnant and later Bruno Gazzotti on '' Soda''. He also collaborated with Ralph Meyer on ''Berceuse assassine'', and with Marc Hardy on ''Feux''. Earlier in his career he was an assistant-artist for Dupa. Biography Vandevelde was born in Brussels. ''Spirou à Moscou'', written by Tome and drawn by Janry, is the forty-second album of the ''Spirou et Fantasio'' series, and the tenth of the authors. The story was serialised in '' Spirou'' magazine before it was released as a hardcover album in 1990. Story Moments before their departure on holiday to the tropics, Spirou and Fantasio are taken by the DST for the KGB which needs them. They're told that Moscow is being terrorised by the mysterious 'White Prince of the Russian Mafia', Tanaziof. According to the KGB's information this man is an old enemy of the two heroes. If Spirou and Fantasio help to solve the case, Russia will free a French journalist who they've taken custody. ''Spirou'' () is a weekly Belgian comics magazine published by the Dupuis company since April 21, 1938. It is an anthology magazine with new features appearing regularly, containing a mix of short humor strips and serialized features, of which the most popular series would be collected as albums by Dupuis afterwards. Paperinik
Paperinik (), also known as PK (Italy, ), Superduck (UK and Digicomics) or Duck Avenger (US), is a comic book-costumed vigilante and Donald Duck's alter ego. The character was created in Italy by Elisa Penna, Guido Martina and Giovan Battista Carpi, and first appeared in the Italian comic series '' Topolino'' #706 (June 1969). The character appears in specific Paperinik stories, and he is never mentioned in the main Duckburg continuity. In the comics, Donald originally created Paperinik as a dark avenger alter-identity to secretly seek revenge upon relatives, before he soon found himself fighting other menaces as a vigilante.
