Ernst Gunnar Åkerlund (20 November 1923 – 4 October 2006) was a Swedish canoe sprint Canoe sprint is a water sport in which athletes race in specially designed sprint canoes or sprint kayaks on calm water over a short distance. Prior to November 2008, canoe sprint was known as flatwater racing. The term is still in use today ...er who competed in the late 1940s and early 1950s. Hans Uno Jonas Åkerlund (; born 10 November 1965) is a Swedish filmmaker and musician who is best known for his work in music videos. Åkerlund was a member of the Swedish black metal band Bathory. He has directed well-known videos for artists such as Queens of the Stone Age, Christina Aguilera, Beyoncé, Blink-182, Blondie, Duran Duran, Lady Gaga, David Guetta, Jamiroquai, Lenny Kravitz, Madonna, Paul McCartney, Metallica, Moby, Ozzy Osbourne, P!nk, the Prodigy, the Smashing Pumpkins, Rammstein, Britney Spears, the Rolling Stones, U2, Robbie Williams and Ghost. Magnus Åkerlund (born April 25, 1986) is a Swedish professional ice hockey goaltender, currently playing with IF Sundsvall in the HockeyAllsvenskan. Erik "Totte" Åkerlund (6 March 1915 – 16 March 2009) was a Sweden, Swedish curling, curler. (look for "Åkerlund, Erik “Totte”") He was a and a four-time Swedish Men's Curling Championship, Swedish men's curling champion (1947, 1951, 1959, 1967). He was also a curling activist, in the years 1953-1970 he sat on the board of the Swedish Federation of Curling, additionally he served as treasurer (1954-1956), vice president (1963-1966) and from 1970 to 1972 president. In 1966 he was inducted into the Swedish Curling Hall of Fame. Totte was also active in the squash (sport), squash environment.
